Faraway Love

This song was written and produced for the feature length thriller "Inheritance" to sound like a lost classic from the 1930s. The goal for the lyric was to create a double entendre that would work as a love song with allusion to the main character's desire to return from the dead and possess her young female caretaker's body. Music by Erik Aho, lyric and vocals by Celia Chavez.

This reinvention of Willie Nile's song (the original is here: http://youtu.be/b8-KgFLa1Gs ) is a collaboration with producer Robin Danar. RD recorded Celia's vocals and percussion (including beating on the wooden studio door) in about session lasting less than an hour and a half with no pitch correction and minimal compression.
