Every day there is much work to be done
We are entrusted with the work of the Lord!

it's been a long while since i last picked up my guitar to sing to the Lord. i was faced with trials all around and was losing heart altogether. "Lord, have mercy on me." sometimes, this is the only line i can pray. these 2 stanzas stood out to me. 

"𝑷𝒐𝒑𝒐, 𝒊 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖"
losing my beloved popo last Dec shattered my heart and my world. i caught myself grieving in random periods of the day while serving and the cycle just repeats itself each week. i have never felt so alone, afraid, lost and helpless in this race because she was my beloved spiritual companion. i was drowning while doing my best to stay afloat to keep up with life. it was terrifying to say the least. i know her time is up but i desperately longed to have her presence here with me. in order to feel closer to her, i would review photos and listen to voice messages she left behind for me.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒗𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒚:
imagine this — losing your beloved most reliable shepherd in this entire world who never once failed to lead you into His presence just by her joy and faith in Him alone and is able to strengthen your faith & love towards Him more regardless of how low of a condition you may be in. there was no one like Him, He knows the pain and agony i was in, He was touched with them. 

i gave myself to enjoy pleasures of this world in whatever aspect it could afford, just so that my heart could feel lighter and distract me from the pain deep within but i was so wrong. it did not take too long before the realisation hit me- 𝑬𝒄𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒔 2:11 - 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒚 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒅𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒓 𝒃𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒅, 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒅; 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒐 𝒂𝒅𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒏.

truly enough, the Lord prevailed. He was faithful in allowing me to remain in my soul while reminding me gently that 𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐇𝐢𝐦, 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐟𝐲. like me, you might be facing the same situation and that's ok. you can groan to the Lord as much as your strength affords you, He hears you. seemingly, the outward circumstances remains the same, but inwardly He will empower and fill you with His knowledge-surpassing strength & rich mercy to continue running this race. i had the deepest lesson of learning to trust in the Lord. thank You Lord, for Your boundless towards me.
