Bugling by Tule elk (Cervus canadensis ssp. nannodes) 

Tule elk are majestic animals found only (endemic) in California.  During European settlement, they were hunted to near extinction as their entire population was reduced to an estimated 5 survivors that managed to find refuge.  California passed legislation to protect Tule elk and they survived the brink of extinction to grow to a population of over 4000 today, although they still struggle as a result of habitat loss due to overdevelopment.  Together we can protect the fauna and other inhabitants we that we this share this small planet with. May we all come alive.

Blue Sol (feat. Cellojoe)

This tune was recorded live at an Off the Grid food truck event in Millbrae in October. 

CelloJoe was experimenting with a new Boss DD-7 Digital Delay pedal. The result inspired a Vince Giraldi style song that feels like falling snowflakes perfect for the winter season.

There was a haze of smoke in the air from a nearby forest fire and hence the name "Smokey."

So I covered it in my own style with cello and beatboxing.

I played at a corporate holiday party and they asked me if I could do some covers of popular songs and requested Ed Sheeran. I really liked the lyrics and especially the part about "everybody's talkin bout exponential growth and the stock market crashing and their portfolios"
So I did a version where I sang the vocals and I did a version with the cello playing the melody. I didn't like my vocals (I'm no Ed Sheeran) so I'm sharing the cello only version.

Ed Sheeran - What Do I Know (CelloJoe's cello cover)

This is a work in progress, but I just wanted to post something and share it!
Auralponic put the special sauce on this track.Cello Joe made a track entirely of sounds from the cello. 
All the percussion sounds are recordings of tapping, slapping or rubbing the cello. Huge thanks to Connor Irias / Auralponic for producing it and making it sound amazing.

Beauty Overwhelms Me

I improvised this song at Miriam and Casey's wedding at the foot of Mt. Hood in Hood River, OR in July 2019. 
I used a kalimba, a cello (borrowed from Skip von Kuske, thanks Skip!) my voice and an RC300 Loop pedal with a BOSS Reverb pedal and a BOSS Delay pedal.
