Intrigue Music return for their yearly compilation of groundbreaking drum & bass. This year the Bristol clubbing institution celebrates 18 years, and while there can't be a party to celebrate they deliver one of their best albums yet.

The label's now famous yearly compilations have become a shining example of the deeper drum & bass sound. The latest edition continues to push the sound forward, this year paying particular attention to new talent.

The second chapter includes tracks and remixes from Collette Warren, Ben Soundscape, Cybin, Lurch, Joakuim, SoulMotion, Joakuim and more. Track one on the release 'Cold Black Soul' recently attracted major daytime radio support from Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC 6 Music.

Whilst a new name to many, Acuna had his first release on Chronic way back in 2009! After a long hiatus from D&B and making music he returned with a fresh energy in 2020 and we're really excited about the sounds coming out of his studio. This brand new EP perfectly captures why we're tipping Acuna as a breakthrough name in 2021; the combination of gritty dancefloor basslines, sweet soulful vocals and collaborations with L-Side, 2Shy and David Boomah make this an all-star cast and cement his return. 

Hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil and part of a tight knit group of friends who have burst on to the scene like Alibi (DJ Chap & Level 2), L-Side, Critycal Dub (which he was an original member), Andrezz and more, Acuna is making waves now in his own right and this EP will be on heavy rotation all summer long!

I came up as a D&B MC. Working with Minneapolis' Jungle Vibe Collective (JVC) back in the 90s. I spent a couple years in Chicago & then moved out to Southern California. In both spots I had a pretty decent, but short, run working with the local D&B DJs. I got a 9-5 & focused on career for a while, but got inspired to pick up the pen again in 2018 while hearing Shy FX - Call Me. Right now I'm exploring concept-driven, short form D&B with melodic MC style vocals. Hope y'all dig it.
