For their tenth release, Lunar Records welcomes Qumulus a.k.a. Davinder Virdi to the family. 
Qumulus is no stranger to the scene and after a brief hiatus honing his craft, he has served up four fervent slices of Drum & Bass covering a variety of sub-genres across the DnB spectrum.
'Desiderata' takes us on a celestial journey to regions beyond Earth while 'Insidious' is an ominous animal. The hi-octane intensity of 'Consequence' contrasts the smooth sensuality of 'Sunset Soul'.

Soul Deep Digital and Aleyum are excited to announce the release of the Eluding Dreams - The Remixes EP, which is now available in all major digital stores and streaming sites. Aleyum, who hails from San Francisco, dropped the original EP back in December 2017, on the Soul Deep Digital imprint. The release boasted many beautiful melodies and atmospherics, which deserved some special remix treatments. With Hiraeth, Istoria, and Silence Groove brought in for the remix duties, you know that this will be an instant classic of a release. 

Hiraeth, takes on the title track remix duties, transforming the original melody into a cinematic escape. The lush pianos are backed by punchy breaks, a rolling Amen, and a gritty Reese baseline that completes the intense track transformation. Istoria takes muted pads and soaring strings of “Rushing West,” and blends up a deep, rolling track with grooves that soothe the soul. Silence Groove is up next and takes on the remix duties for the lovely track, “Glowing Memories.” He takes the original song and adds some of his signature flare to the track. The rolling Amen drums and muted atmospherics create the backdrop for the growling bassline that takes the track to the next level. The original Eluding Dreams EP was a wonderfully written piece of music, and the remixes have done them justice with tasteful elements added throughout. We hope you enjoy the remix EP!

My friend Laurie from Shine Shack Sounds recently hosted the Radio One Drum & Bass show and selected her favourite tunes from 2019. I was honoured to see that 'Condensation' was chosen and she speaks about the song and my album with a lovely introduction. It's nice to look back and celebrate one of the really special songs from my album, and to tell you a bit more about it.

'Condensation' was written as a tribute to Marcus Intalex. Matt (Sense) had performed with him in Manchester on the night that he passed away, and was planning to work with Soul:R for the foreseeable future so was devastated to have lost a friend and mentor. But what I love about the lyrics is that it can apply to anybody, in any situation - "it's only when you lose it you can see what you've got".

Last night we performed together in Manchester and performed the song live, and I always mix it with two classic Marcus tunes - 'Temperance' and 'How You Make Me Feel' so Matt calls it the Marcus Interlude. It was an honour to pay tribute to a musical genius in his hometown. RIP Marcus (and Spirit), thank you for the music.
