This song takes elements from the classic boom bap Hip-Hop sound and DJ scratches that were prevalent in the 90’s. Our goal was to create a song that sounded familiar but was new to us in creation. We have never created something that was true to the culture of Hip-Hop. One take away from the song is that we had the opportunity to work with DJ Jaffa from the United Kingdom who provided the scratches you hear on the choruses.
