”What Good Shall I Do This Day?” Every morning Benjamin Franklin asked himself this simple question, as a virtuous routine. I found this quote while reading on the daily habits of great men and after I had started to compose the piece already. I instantly felt that this sentence would make a perfect title. The vision I had first was a joyous piece, full of benevolent energy and the kind of mood you feel when you wake up well rested, have a nice breakfast and begin your day with enthusiasm, deciding what you aim to achieve by the end of the day. 

Everyone can make this question one’s own. I believe it is fundamentally universal. Not only was Benjamin Franklin one of the Founding Fathers of the U.S.A. but also a man who constantly wanted and worked to improve himself. In other words, he can be an inspiration for us all to try to become better individuals and to accomplish great things. One step after another, making a difference thanks to constant effort, with courage and patience.

The music of the piece isn’t programmatic in nature. There are three united movements, almost permanently driven by a vigorous rhythmic pulse. The piece begins with a dynamic, lively mood, and then moves to a shining theme both fanfare-like and swinging. The music ends with a joyful dancing pace before it concludes triumphantly.

For reasons unknown to me, an extremely talented musician on soundcloud known as The Cyanist wanted to mix and master Feeling, this is the result! I am beyond impressed! I'm working on my own version, but it won't be out for a while.

Feeling (The Cyanist version)

Cette pièce a été inspirée par la lecture du livre du philosophe américain Michael Lynch, duquel j’ai emprunté le titre.

A une époque où les émotions sont considérées quasiment comme une valeur absolue, où parfois l’expression de celles-ci se déchaîne sur les réseaux sociaux, j’ai trouvé que rappeler la valeur de la raison prenait tout son sens. La raison est une faculté humaine universelle, et qui a vocation à nous rassembler, qui nous permet de rechercher la vérité, et de nous mettre d’accord. L’esprit des lumières est également convoqué, ainsi que la capacité de la raison à clarifier les pensées, à sa capacité de discernement des émotions, à trouver l’ordre à partir du chaos. L’idée maîtresse de clarification progressive traverse la pièce, à travers différentes formes. Au-dessus de formes mouvantes culmine une énergie lumineuse, et après un apogée sonnant comme une célébration s’ensuit un mouvement rapide, empreint d’une humeur joyeuse : la joie de comprendre, la joie du partage, la joie du rationnel.

8Dio The New AGE Bundle : "Plethora" by Troels Folmann

Proud to present my track Serenity off the latest Legacy of Thought release Interstellar Engines.  This album features tracks by several very talented artists, all portraying their favorite spaceship(s) from movies and/or TV shows.

Serenity is based on the spaceship with the same name from the sci fi show Firefly, and since the music in that show has some cowboy/western elements to it, I though I'd feature an acoustic guitar sound next to the obvious electronic elements, to get a bit closer to that cowboy/western feel. I hope it worked!  Enjoy!

Greetings! We meet again! As you may notice, I decided to try something different with this track! Instead of using mainly electronic instruments, I tried going for a more organic feel. In the future, I might even start uploading pure instrumental tracks (like the good old days) alongside more EDM releases!

For the past few months, I was simultaneously working on this track and a new future bass track (which I plan to release soon). The long delay between this upload and the previous was due to my research at Stony Brook over this summer.

My senior year of high school is about to start, but I'll hopefully still have time to work on my music as much as I'd love to, and showcase my work on this channel as I have been doing for the past year! :)

Ok first of all, I'd like to thanks a lot NobleEwe for lending her beautiful voice for the single When We First Met that I wrote some months ago! She made an incredible work!  
I am really excited to release this piece today! And plus, it comes upon her birthday!! 
Actually, she wrote 95% of the lyrics and sang it, while I was arranging the instrumental part. Mastering the whole thing was also a pleasure!  A lot of fun for sure! :D

Nicolas Berland is a film and game music composer and orchestra conductor who graduated from the Valence conservatory in 2023. In 2020, he joins the film music composition class under the expertise of teacher and composer Nathanaël Bergèse. As part of his studies, he will compose for some twenty short films, developing a keen sense of the craft.

Although the primary vocation of his music is orchestral, Nicolas has developed, over the years, an expertise and a musical culture enabling him to compose in many musical styles. His years of experience allow him to guarantee extremely detailed orchestrations and mixes.

He composed many original scores for the motion pictures over the last five years, including Abigaël Giroud’s animated film “Elise“, Mathilde Chevrier’s independent short film “L’Enfer C’est Les Autres“, Melvin Bigault's short film "La Danse Des Braises", Julien de Almeida's "Je Rangerai Après", Kelzad Oox's "The Befouled" and Lilu Lesueur's "A Contre Couture".
