Since the end of the 90s Laurent Jeanneau has been recording the music of endangered minorities of South East Asia. Alongside his relentless pursue of remote exotic and unpublished musical traditions, he also started creating electronic versions under his Kink Gong monicker, by combining raw recordings with electronically treated sounds.
For Voices LP, Laurent based his alternate re-versions around the extensive voice recordings he made on location in the southern regions of Yunnan and Guizhou in China as well as in Sapa, North Vietnam and Phongsaly, Northern Laos.
Special vinyl one time pressing. Vinyl cut at Dubplate @ Mastering by Christoph Grote-Beverborg.
