In his own words:

My sets often reflect my own unique thoughts and feelings and gave the listener a deeper look into who i am and what moves me. I see myself as a traveler, a philosopher as a DJ in that i have a deep sense into sounds and in that way I try to make my thoughts and feelings audible. so my selection is a highly curated combination of unique tracks that are timeless and that overcome the boundaries of genre, country, or context. my thoughts to that mix are: »We are one species. We are star stuff harvesting star light. Our lives, our past and our future are tied to the sun, the moon and the stars. Our ancestors knew that their survival depended on understanding the heavens. so everyone can feel the whole world and still feel lost in it. so many people are in pain - no matter how smart or accomplished - they cry, they yearn, they hurt … we all want the same things: comfort, love, and a peaceful heart. we can feel it in our body and soul. and so as time goes on, you’ll understand. what lasts, lasts; what doesn’t, doesn’t. Time solves most things. And what time can’t solve, you have to solve yourself.«

Rolandson, a self-described “child of the Baltic Sea” whose roots lie in Sweden/Uppsala and Rostock, currently lives in a quiet city called Halle an der Saale. The amiable 38-year old’s heart beats for so many beautiful things he has discovered in his travels that he sees himself as a traveller who “transforms his thoughts and feelings into pictures, and transforms those pictures into mixtapes”. His sets often reflect his own unique thoughts and feelings and give the listener a deeper look into who he is and what moves him. To quote a wise man: “It is the work of he whose intention was not to impress, but to be true, that will persist.” (Jean Cocteau)

Rolandson has been playing music for 20 years now and has been enchanting his listeners with unbelievable sets that he often gets lost in himself.
His sound transcends the boundaries of genre or style - a characteristic that applies to him not only musically but also personally: he avoids clichés and instead strives for originality and musical diversity.

When he’s not behind the decks, he’s the driving force behind his netlabel and podcast series “Seasidetrip”, which he started in 2012 after recording a mix at sea. Since the first Seasidetrip mix, many artists have have interpreted their love and longing for the sea in their own mixes, contributing to the growth of this wonderful project which has not only touched the hearts of its listeners, but also led to many friendships and inspiring collaborations with other artists along the way.

Rolandson invites you to join him in making the world a bit more colourful, a bit more diverse and saturated with unique music.

want to share something special with you. maybe some of you know, normally i do not publish recordings but that 100min (from 190) are need to be shared with you. so I present to you the first half of my set from last friday at a Bay in Berlin for Animal Farm Festival. it was to support the organization for the festival and so I hope, that you can catch the moment a bit, cause playing at Saloon between Vruno and Bernstein (in the morning from 6 till 9) was so much fun.
