David Duriez is known for making House and proper underground electronic music since the beginning of the 90's - 30 years in the music industry, founder and keeper of the [briquerouge] label, home of the best french electronic renegades since 1999, David Duriez is lurking in the shadow of the french Electronic scene, keeping it real and true. Artist in various styles of music, dj and innovator, he's always in search of new ways to distribute and value Electronic Music and always a step ahead. Definitely not just one for the hype.

Since 1994, David released over a hundred records under his name, tens under various pseudonyms, outputs mainly vinyl on the most renowned labels like 2020Vision, Ovum, Systematic, Pokerflat, F Communication, Mobilee, Under the Counter, Stickman, Classic Music Company, Crosstown Rebels, The End, etc .. (the list is long, see Discogs.com to be convinced) and as many remixes for some of the greatest (think Moby, DJ Hell, Telex, Random Factor, Johnny Fiasco, Paul Johnson, Kenny Hawkes or Mr.C).

Founder of the label Brique Rouge in 1999 and a whole galaxy of other labels, he participated in the creation of internationally recognized labels such as Robsoul, Freak n'Chic or Rz Muzik. David has carved out his own niche with his pigeonhole defying Brique Rouge label, and his helping to redefine underground electronic music. Brique Rouge has released deep house, jacking house, tech-house, acid house, vocal anthems and much more... Definitely a label for open-minded people, not stuck in one genre of House.

Ahmad aka. Quatri has developed into one of the most promising young artists in this industry. It is a truly wonderful thing, to find a raw diamond, that is open to listen and focus on the sound you try to help form through words and references. Starting from day one back in 2017, Ahmad was paying attention to all these words, understanding and creating his own idea of the sound we asked for. We are now at a point, where Quatri has not only listened, but immensely guided the sound of Nie Wieder Schlafen. A special bond, that will continue to grow and evolve. 

"Fjara" gives a good picture of how far Quatri and Nie Wieder Schlafen have come. And don't you dare think we have reached our goals - we have still so much to explore. "Leviathan" is a production, that tells the story of the sounds we have gone through the last months. A production bringing together the different moods, that continue to fascinte us. A tammed beast - smooth yet dangerous, elegant yet rough :  A sound with an undefined emotion - a feeling of excitement and mystery, balanced between the dark and the bright. Enjoy.
