In The Tears of Eros we deliberately dive into the Surrealist world of sex, gender, fetishism and taboos. the Centraal Museum has invited two people to discuss a number of artworks in the exhibition.

Rosa Wevers is a research assistant and lecturer in gender studies at Utrecht University. She is also involved in the Museum of Equality and Difference. Philip Freriks was born in Utrecht in 1944. He is well known in the Netherlands as a television presenter. He was introduced to Joop Moesman and his paintings as a 12-year-old boy when he befriended Moesmans’ stepson. 

This conversation was conducted in Dutch. The English translation is read by two actors.
