Rik Casado (Kevala) is a rising producer in the Drum and Bass scene. His productions display a wide range of sounds, receiving influences from all kinds of musical genres, which result in the diverse listening spaces he creates.

From dark, melancholic, introspection-inviting vibes, to neuro mind-bending madness and anything in between. Kevala and his music is always driven by mesmerizing drum breaks that keep the listener hooked to the story he's telling from beginning to end.

His three track EP ‘Losing’ marks his debut release here at Phase Records DNB. An EP with personal stories attached to the tunes, the listeners and ravers are taken on a journey of emotion – while also… getting their heads blown off! Not only does this release contain huge cathartic themes, but it’s one that is very much, rave certified. He has even brought along the Phase head honcho, Gifta for the title track of the EP.

Subdue Audio is a brand new label, aiming to support and bring light to some of the freshest talent across the Drum and Bass and Bass Music worlds. After launch events across the South and South East with headliners like Sudley, Refracta and Teej and the success of a huge 10 track free download series featuring the likes of Apom, Gengs, Oversight and more, Subdue Audio bring their first official release to the table with friend, collaborator and DnB wizard Harley D. 

Frighteners is a collection of ominous intros, eerily sharp sound design and heavy subs as Harley delves into a more minimal leaning, darker sound. Whether its the wobbly, floor shaking sub of the title track, ‘Frighteners’, the tight drums and haunting vocal samples dotted through ‘Critique VIP’ or the nod to his iconic Jump Up sounds in the screaming stabs of “Creeper”, this whole EP is sure to turn the heads of the club crowd and introduce them to what Subdue Audio has to offer.
