It is with out great pleasure we introduce you to our second official release from our resident, Error. This EP is a perfect showcase of the melodic UK jump up/Belgian grott and heavily horror influenced style of Error.

"Outbreak" our title track, uses an iconic zombie-outbreak announcement in the introduction, allowing the listeners to know exactly what kind of journey they're in for here. Combine this with the melodic drop and Errors signature squelchy grot and we have the perfect track to start this EP. "I Like That" uses a catchy female vocal sample with the blend of Error's melody heavy style and his stomach turning synths to make a track which we think describes this signature style perfectly, and a personal favourite of ours. "Don't Even Care" is next, this track is yet another that perfectly showcases the reason we love Error. A melodic squelchy drop, combined with an iconic male vocal, it creates a drop that you just don't expect that will screw your face to a new degree and call for an instant wheel up. Next up is "Fear" and holy shit was I gassed when I first heard this track, described by some as the sounds of "an alien playing a trumpet", this track stands out to us like a sore thumb, its unique melody and absolutely FUCKED sound design fit together perfectly to create a jump up track that once you hear it, you'll never forget it. Then we close the EP off with "I'm Here", yet again using an almost haunting and seductive female vocal and a serious rolling, stomach churner of a drop to create an incredibly unique track that's gonna absolutely fuck your head when you hear it in the rave. 

Combine these together to create haunting, melodic and grotty EP we know is gonna get RINSED by the jump up heads.

Smooth has laid a steady foundation with his Drum & Bass productions of late. Between his work as one half of Telekinesis with releases on labels such as Blackout Music, Eatbrain, and Mainframe – along with his last release on Viper, ‘WTF / Revenge’ which wrapped up 2015 with monstrous noise and support from: Wilkinson, Matrix & Futurebound, Calyx & Teebee, TC, Audio, Metrik, Mob Tactics, and more. Starting of 2016, Smooth’s ‘True Grit EP’ brings plenty more dance floor destruction to continue the Slovenian’s mark in D&B. 

Leading the charge on the EP is ‘True Grit’. With occasional glimpses to the early days of rave, this track is nothing but forward thinking madness. You’ll need bags of energy to keep up with this one as ‘True Grit’ switches, changes and turns and every possible musical turn. Packed to the brim with attitude and balls this one’s not for the faint-hearted.

Next up is ‘Eraser’, which opens with a spacey atmospheric intro, only to get stripped back into a chunky underground banger. Going sparse on the riffs and heavy on the low end, ‘Eraser’ is a perfect draw for the early morning sets to get the crowd jumping. 

Switching gears, ‘Oxygen’ rolls deep with the melodies and high on that feel good liquid vibe. Subtly epic in its own right, ‘Oxygen’ gives us an early peak to the coming summer vibes. It has weight, presence, and the ability to make you tingle all over. 

Rounding off the EP is ‘Tinnitus’, a condition normally associated with the perception of noise or ringing in the eardrums. Smooth’s version is quite the opposite. After a brief intro, the full impact is laid out for all to bear witness, thundering drums and a huge bassline. A peak time dancefloor weapon has definitely been created here.
