Anjunadeep welcomes Berlin-based producer and live act Nils Hoffmann to the label with his first standalone release ‘9 Days / Cranes’. He debuted on Anjunadeep in 2019, collaborating with Ben Böhmer and Malou on standout single ‘Breathing’ which has amassed over 25 million streams to date, and gained support on BBC Radio 1, Sirius XM and Sunshine Live.

One of the most exciting up-and-coming electronic artists, Nils has released on labels including Poesie Musik, Counter Records, Bitbird and Ton Töpferei, gaining support from tastemakers including Diplo, Bob Moses, Pete Tong and Kaskade.

First heard on flagship label compilation Anjunadeep 13, ‘9 Days’ features vocals from South African vocalist Julia Church. Julia is well known for her feature on Lane 8’s stunning track ‘Oh, Miles’ which has racked up over 15 million streams and gained support on SiriusXM and Kiss FM. ‘Cranes’ is a collaborative cut with Swiss producer and songwriter Natascha Polké, who’s recently released on This Never Happened and Definition:Music. The pair demonstrate a palpable chemistry as producers, intertwining lush chords and carefully-crafted synths to great effect.

Nils Hoffmann teams up with Australian singer-songwriter Panama for the next single ‘Far Behind’. Taken from Nils’ forthcoming album ‘A Radiant Sign’, out September 2 on Anjunadeep.

Opening with Panama’s dreamy vocals, Nils gradually layers atmospheric chords with a bright plucked synth, culminating in a rich, warm production that epitomises his sound. Having previously collaborated with artists including Ben Böhmer and Two Lanes on ‘Weightless’ and ‘Rolling Back’ respectively, Panama has had regular support from flagship radio stations KCRW and Sirius XM and has accumulated over 300m streams on Spotify alone.
Nils’ Hoffmann’s upcoming album ‘A Radiant Sign’ marks the beginning of a new chapter for the 26-year-old up-and-comer. Finding himself going through a transitional stage in his life, Nils used the album to help him escape and give him hope in uncertain times.

“The album is about new beginnings, and represents the beautiful results that can come from fighting through difficult circumstances. I wanted to give people a collection of music that they can be absorbed by; giving them the hope and faith to keep going through the twists and turns of life. While writing the album, I realised that challenging situations do eventually come to an end, and while facing those challenges, it’s best to look ahead. That’s what ‘A Radiant Sign’ stands for.”

‘Far Behind’ follows on from album singles ‘Afterglow’, ‘Let Me Go’ and ‘9 Days’ which have gained over 1m streams and support from Eelke Kleijn, Joris Voorn and Maceo Plex. This adds to an already impressive list of support from Diplo, Bob Moses and Pete Tong who’ve championed his work on Poesie Musik, Ton Töpferei, Bitbird and Counter Records.

Nils is part of the next wave of emerging talent from London-based electronic label Anjunadeep, who have broken electronic music stars such as Lane 8, Yotto, Eli & Fur and Ben Böhmer.

At the moment they are working on a new album and string of remixes, due to be released in 2018.

Starring world renowned Artist and Nudist Marisa Papen, she shares her thoughts on art, freedom and truth with us; "Being true to who we are is the most important thing to me.  We face daily news of abuse of power, sexually and otherwise. Many too fearful to come forward before are finally sharing their voice and truly being heard, knowing they matter, it's so freeing. We also see countless Instagram models looking for likes by exploiting themselves physically while often being judged negatively or blamed for unwanted advances for showing off their bodies. Freedom to be in our truth is a birth right, showing our bodies isn't an invitation for unwanted sexual advances, nor is being naked not an art form, so the controversy around people's rights to be nude feels like a law against our nature. Nudity seems to be extremely confusing for many, no one should be ashamed, abused or forced to hide themselves. I see our bodies as entirely unique, beautiful and ours to do with as we please, as long as we do not harm another. I hope that by sharing my body and art I free peoples beliefs of stigmas, empower them, and open their minds. Much like feeling confined in a relationship that isn't working, many are confined by societies decided on judgements. Now that people are feeling more courageous to express their truth, we are taking back our power. I love feeling free so I choose to make my art surrounded by nature and the beautiful places that draw attention to things that matter to me. Being arrested for my art and the feeling of being free is something I stand firmly against."
