For some, Father's Day is a day of happiness and gratitude.  For others, it is a reminder of what they never had but wished they did.  So many people are reminded that the father they needed was or is not present.  I am one of those people.  And while it is still a sore subject for me, I have to say that I have grown because of his absence.  On Father's Day I'm grateful for that growth and I hope that I can continue to grow into a man worthy of being a father to my future children if that is in fact what the future holds.
