The BOOST TAPE series is a collective project organized by the moderators of r/trap. Celebrating the variety of talent in this music community, the BOOST TAPE series showcases the boundary-pushing sounds of the modern trap and bass movement. The songs you hear on this compilation are sourced from both the icons of the trap / electronic scene as well as submissions from rising stars in our community. Good innovative music is what’s important to us; whether you’re a main stage artist or a bedroom DJ, we’re here to salute creativity in the genre that brought us together.

We also seek to drive change at a larger level. All proceeds from the BOOST TAPE series are donated to progressive causes in order to uplift voices that must be heard. In 2020, our June release of BOOST TAPE 01 raised over $10,000 for the Movement For Black Lives. With BOOST TAPE 02, we will continue to partner with this crucial organization to help support racial justice initiatives and equality for all Black people, and look to the future for new opportunities to push for social justice and boost communities everywhere.
