One of our long standing favourite selectors, we've been watching Buda dropping some of the most banging sets we've witnessed for over a decade now. 

A resident of legendary Manchester event Audiosalad and a master behind the 1210's, Buda is known for pulling out rare gems alongside oldskool classics and we got exactly that for this mix alongside some forthcoming Buda bangers, look out for forthcoming releases from the man himself on labels such as Parallax Recordings & Bukva Sound.

She's been killing it as of late with sets at events such Hit & Run and Licence to Jungle and has kept the vibes rolling during lockdown with various guest mixes over the past year. Jordan began his music career in 2010 after being introduced to producers like Daft Punk, the Prodigy and Flying Lotus. While he has produced a mixture of Techno and Hip Hop, his recent productions and DJ sets have centred around Drum and Bass and Jungle.
The US selecta recently dropped the first release on his brand new label Rigatoni, the debut release Rigatoni001 features 3 jungle tracks from himself and fellow Texan producer D.F.G, with the pair due to have more music incoming in 2022 🔊

Kola Nut began playing computer games at a young age, he was given a Megadrive on 25th December 1994. Playing games like 'Theme Park', 'Street Fighter 2'  & ‘Cyborg Justice’ he soon built his finger strength and hand eye co-ordination skills. 
This dexterity and skill combined with his love for jungle music lead him neatly into the world of bedroom DJing in 2001. He has since collaborated with scene honchos such as Law, Wheeler & Tim Reaper and dropped releases on Repertoire, R-Whites, Future Retro, Meditator, Context Audio, 7th Storey Projects, Silent Force and Sonic Force Recordings.

Infest is not only a respected DJ and producer, but also label boss of Next Phase Records, an exciting label that aims to release an eclectic mix of breakbeat driven music unrestricted by BPM. Music, design and art have run through his blood since childhood and his appetite for expression and an attention to detail stands at the forefront of every track, design or painting Robbert crafts. He achieves this connection by building rich cinematic and emotive productions that combine with his artwork to form an audio visual journey through a wonderfully vivid universe overflowing with empathy.

Heading up Part Three and the final week of our mega Winter Mix Drop are Hughesee & Louise Plus One 

Distant Planet's Louise Plus One & Hughesee have both been DJ’S since the ’90s.You can catch them frequently playing vinyl sets representing a wide range of styles including Acid House, Techno, Breakbeat Hardcore, Jungle Techno and Jungle/DnB old and new. Over the years they have played at events such as Rupture, Jungle Syndicate, Live Evil, Calling The Hardcore, West Yorkshire Jungle Collective, Mash Up The Dance (Nomadic Gardens), Freekuency Festival (Portugal), and Deeper Understanding/LWT parties in London. As well as hosting all-night parties at The Venue M.O.T in South Bermondsey & daytime family-friendly events at the Fox & Firkin in Deptford and the Royal Sovereign pub in Hackney.

Their event Distant Planet has a YouTube channel that captures the essence of their events as well as holding live streams way before lockdown, they have been regularly showcasing resident DJ’s and friends. They have also participated in live streams events with other venues such as Fold London and Fox & Firkin, Lewisham.

Incoming with 90mins of Soulful Jungle for day two of the Mix Drop is Lubi J !

Based in Cardiff, the Headspace resident started off mostly playing soulful/liquid dnb back in 2000 and was heavily influenced by Fabio’s liquid funk and artists like Calibre, Carlito and Addiction, Bukem. In recent years she’s become more immersed again in the darker breaks and beats of jungle, drawing from labels like Function, Rupture, Samurai, AKO and Repertoire.

For her debut Certain Sounds mix she's drawn for a selection inspired by those early 2000's vibes but with a whole heap of modern Soulful Jungle tunes thrown in for good measure!

The Irish dj/producer was a resident at Dublin's legendry Bassbin events and has released tracks on renowned labels such as Subtle Audio, Inperspective, Counter Intelligence, Breakin' and Make:shift.
A regular on the airways, he's been part of the Power FM since '98 and hosts his ''2ndrate Show'' on the station every 2 weeks as well as his ''Skeptic Tank'' sessions which air on Jungletrain every fortnight, the show has featured guest mixes from the likes of DgoHn, Profane and Frankie Gunns to name a few!

Bringing a little twist to his mix with most of the tracks coming from DgoHn's Undesignated Proximate & Undesignated Remixes albums, expect drums, drums and more drums in this selection!

Kred started collecting music in 1984, creating mixtapes of London hip hop shows from pirate radio stations from their the journey went from hip hop through hip house, acid, hardcore, and into jungle.
In the 00’s, Kred & Handy played on Origin FM, and alongside Mafs they began the Launch D&B club night in 2007. Nowadays Kred can usually be found closer to home in Hertfordshire… somehow he is busier than ever, playing all sorts of music at parties and events!

A veteran of the scene and a proper dj's dj he's gone in with a selection of '92 hardcore, with a few choice ’91 tunes for good measure!

Originally from New York City, Pearsall moved to  London in the 90's, which is where he became obsessed with drum n bass, getting his first set of decks at the tender age of 17 in 1997. Over the years he's built up a massive record collection across many genres but jungle/drum n bass will always be his first love when it comes to electronic music. These days Pearsall lives in Berlin, every now and then he djing out in the city but mostly spends his time make a lot of mixes for the Internet, both for my Sonicrampage blog and Soundcloud account. A firm favourite dj in the Certain Sounds camp we had to get him along for the drop! Sit back and explore the journey trough the sounds of atmospheric Jungle!

When we thought about adding a Drumfunk set to this mix drop only one man sprung to mind, Manchester's very own Earl Grey.

The producer/dj has spent the last few years gracing the scene with his recognisable funked up and laid back style of Jungle and Drum and Bass, with 
releases on labels such as Inperspective and Hypercharger to name few. 2020 saw the release of highly regarded HY CH AD which features the track 'Blue Rhythm', the opening tune of this mix and a perfect start for our Drumfunk feature mix.

For the final mix of our Birthday mix drop were bowing out with some ruff and ready beats from the man like Polarity!

With track support from the likes of Double 0 and releases on Criterion Records, Ronin Ordinance and a forthcoming music on Nyctophilia Recordings, Polarity has been killing it as of late. He became a firm favorite among the Certain Sounds crew after playing at our Certain Sounds x FNR event in summer of 2019 stepping in for Artilect and smashing out a set not to far from the vibes what he's dropped for us today.
