 The next EP on our label comes from Spanish based Tech-House producer, Mr Jefferson, who's been pumping out some of our favorite jams over the past couple of years. Straight to the point, this 4 track EP titled Ghetto Funk has been destroying dance floors for us and we know it will for you too. The title track Ghetto Funk along with Shuffle Anthem are both hip hop influenced bombs while Acid Sauce holds down the ultra-funk. Finally, Generation, wraps up the EP with an inspiring dance floor bomb that's sure to leave an impact in the minds of the crowd.

Having released on the likes of Armada, Spinnin’ and One Fold Records under different monikers, Colin Airey releases his debut under the fresh new name Babalou. Out on Solardo’s esteemed Sola label for their first release of 2019, check out Bablou’s In The Jungle EP. 

Churning out club ready beats for the new year, Babalou produces impeccable after hours house music in this debut EP. Leading title track In The Jungle is a tantalising tribal intoxication, with its eerie vocal samples and rhythmic drumlines. Meanwhile, El Sonido takes the EP to euphoric heights, with scything synths and relentless pulses amongst a grooving chopped vocal. With the Solardo boys snapping up his first release, the new  EP marks a great start to 2019 for Babalou. 

Since popping up on the scene under different names over the past 25 years, Colin Airey’s new project under new name Babalou is set to turn heads of the tastemakers. Already familiar in the world of dance music, Colin has received backing from the likes of BBC Radio 1 under previous name Mirabeau with Back From Outer Space landing Pete Tong’s essential new tune. Elsewhere collab project Sons of 8 landed him releases on Armada & Spinnin’, shortly after he curated his own label 8 House Records. The label garnered a great debut recognition and was sighted by Beatport as one of the best new up and coming house labels of 2017. With great accolades already under his belt as well as Solardo giving the new venture their seal of approval, we can’t wait to see where Babalou heads next.

Underground’s finest LEON and Andrea Giudice have joined forces for collaboration EP Cats In Hats on Solardo’s esteemed Sola label. 

Lead EP track Cats In Hats features a funky drumline that weaves amongst punchy 90’s style synths and a captivating vocal whilst sudden sirens make for the ultimate club killer. Meanwhile, Machine draws on deeper elements with epic drum rumbles and weighty percussion with a few pleasant surprises along the way demonstrating the LEON and Andrea Giudice are the perfect pairing.

LEON has been making a firm impact on the house scene, turning heads of the DJ elite including Loco Dice, Carl Cox, and Marco Carola to name a few. Whilst his compelling DJ sets have earnt him performances at the likes of Amnesia Ibiza, Cielo NY, Space Miami, Fabric London, Rex Paris, DC10 Ibiza & In 2000 whilst securing a residency at Music On in Ibiza. Current highlights of his career so far include two times top 3 on Beatport with his remake of Renegade Master and a collaboration with Dennis Cruz on Crosstown Rebels.

Elsewhere, UK based talent Andrea Giudice has been capturing the attention of many including Loco Dice with his soaring leads, pumping beats and true carnival spirit - it’s no wonder LEON an the Sola label have snapped up the producer for the Cats In Hats EP. With a host of releases on respected underground and tech house labels and the continued backing from his peers, 2019 will see Andrea Giudice rise from strength to strength.

Certified Jackin was formed in 2011 with the intention of taking the big-bass “jackin house” sound that was taking over the North of England and the Midlands and deliver to a wider audience. This was achieved via a simple YouTube channel which quickly, and slightly unexpectedly, became a massive success, harnessing close to 100,000 subscribers and over 25 million views. The sound we delivered was greatly received throughout the United Kingdom and across the globe.
 
Over the following years, we helped promote and intensify the early careers of well-respected artists who featured heavily under the CJ name. Artists such as Hannah Wants, Chris Lorenzo and of course, our head honcho: ILL PHIL, amongst many others. Their meteoric rise through the music scene has, along with other artists and DJs brought underground House music to the forefront of the dance music world, specifically the ‘Jackin’, ‘Bass’ and ‘Tech House’ genres.
 
We host events across the United Kingdom, mainly at the prestigious Lightbox in London where we have hosted some of the best in the business: Endor, The Wideboys, Tom Bull, Rich Pinder, Skapes, Martin Ikin and others. We have taken Certified to Dublin with Tom Zanetti, Tom Garnett and Nick Hannam. We’ve also graced Tank in Sheffield, Insomnifest in Leeds, Manchester, Rotherham, Maidstone and Dover.
 
ILL PHIL’s world-famous Mixtapes have amassed millions of plays on SoundCloud and our debut album ‘Certified Jackin: Underground House Music’ cracked the Top 10 of the iTunes dance chart in mid-2014.
 
Our sound has naturally changed over time, but our values remain the same. We aim to deliver high energy, feel good, bass-laden house music with a twist. Full frontal, underground beats.
