Welcoming Cervi as the 31st guest on the inTension Podcast!

Cervi is a DJ hailing from Costa Rica. After being part of the techno scene in her country and driven by her passion for electronic music, she decided to embark on her journey as a DJ in 2023. Despite being an emerging artist, she has already had the opportunity to play with PARADØX Collective, a group that shares her passion for the techno scene in Costa Rica and its growth. She has also performed alongside well-known international artist Sánchez Jr, co-founder of DOOM Bogotá and one of the most important DJ/producers in the Colombian techno scene.

Passionate about harsh, fast, and psychedelic sounds, Cervi's style is characterised by energetic rhythms, heavy kicks, and emotional melodies. Through her music selection, she aims to take her audience on a journey full of emotions, providing a glimpse into her world.

-Me encuentro apasionada por los sonidos oscuros y pesados, así como psicodélicos, además me encanta que estén llenos de mucha energía; también disfruto de las melodías e incluir un poco los sonidos melancólicos que puedan llevar al oyente a través del set en un sin fin de emociones.

𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐫 𝐚 𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫, 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚ñ𝐚𝐝𝐨 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚 𝐥𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬í𝐚, 𝐲 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐦á𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞.
-Me atrevería a decir que quien me inspiró a mezclar fue Sama Abdulhadi, desde que conocí su trabajo, biografía y además de ver sus sets en YouTube, empezó a rondar la idea de mezclar en mi cabeza, aunque me atreví a hacerlo cuando conocí la escena techno de Costa Rica, fue al mismo tiempo que entendí que soy dueña de mi vida y que solo yo puedo tomar las riendas de ella, he conocido varias personas que me han inspirado a intentar ser buena Dj y llevarlo al siguiente nivel.
Ahora, quienes realmente me han acompañado en este proceso han sido Apicem y Coashark, grandes Dj/Productores de Costa Rica que se han tomado el tiempo de no solo enseñarme aspectos técnicos, sino también a sentar buenas bases como artista, el compromiso y dedicación que esto conlleva.
Asimismo, Apicem y Coashark son los artistas que más me inspiran de momento, aparte de verlos como mis amigos, me han enseñado muchas cosas que no solo lo aplico en mi proyecto Cervi, si no tambien en mi vida, entre ellas son que por los sueños siempre se lucha; hay que siempre confiar en el proceso y nunca rendirse, aun cuando uno cree que no lo está logrando siempre existe la oportunidad de intentarlo de nuevo; tener compromiso y fe en lo que uno hace, realmente los límites solo uno los pone en el camino y que siempre, sin importar absolutamente nada, siempre hay que dar lo mejor de uno.

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐬 𝐮𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐚 𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬 𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐮𝐜𝐥𝐞, 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐧𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐚 𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐮 𝐥í𝐧𝐞𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥.
-Pues por lo general sólo escucho música electrónica, más un tema que tengo en bucle diría que es Te Mata de Kali Uchis.

𝐀𝐝𝐞𝐦á𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐣 𝐲/𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, ¿𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐠ú𝐧 𝐨𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐣𝐨, 𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨?
-Sí, soy asistente ejecutiva para una transnacional, así que de lunes a viernes tengo un trabajo de oficina el cuál ha sido el motor principal para mi proyecto, además de tener buenos amigos ahí quienes me han dado apoyo y me han inspirado a trabajar duro en mis sueños.

-Mi familia es el mayor tesoro que tengo en mi vida, por dicha se lo han tomado super bien, me apoyan con mis “loqueras” y ha sido lindo poder compartir con ellos también en mis toques, no hay nada que me haya hecho tan feliz que ver a mi mamá bailar mientras estoy en los decks.

𝓑𝓵𝓸𝓼𝓼𝓸𝓶 is meant to reconnect with what truly makes us happy and to dive deep into the essence of our being.
