Since stepping away from DJing, he has devoted himself fully to the studio, spending countless hours exploring, experimenting, and refining new sonic ideas. This deep commitment to his craft has allowed him to push his creativity further than ever before, resulting in fresh sounds that have found their way onto numerous labels

Phosphate Premiere I CUB - A Little Cherpy

Originally released on my first album "Electric Ballroom" in 1998 (now deleted, re-release is planned) this track became quite famous for sampling "Kaw Liga" by "The Residents" (no - it's not M.J's Billie Jean) and Madonna (which hardly anyone ever noticed, btw). There was also a vinyl bootleg that is extremely rare this days...

ACCIDENTAL RE RELEASE WISHMOUNTAIN'S CLASSIC 'RADIO' ON LIMITED 12" - Monday 10th September

After such an overwhelming positive response to Matthew Herbert’s recent return with the Wishmountain project ‘Tesco’, Accidental records have decided to release this limited run 12” featuring some of the highlights of the original project., including the classic ‘Radio’. 

Radio was originally released on seminal 90's techno label Antiphon records and first championed by Djs such as Sven Vath and Westbam as well as being a club classic for legendary clubs like Fuse in Belgium. The track blasted its way in to nightclubs around the world despite being made only from 8 sounds of a beaten up plastic radio. In many ways it made Matthew's name, as someone ready to bring real and challenging sounds to the largely synthetic soundscape of club music while being unafraid to make people dance at the same time.

Herbert House music fans will not be disappointed by this clutch of rare tracks, available for a short time on vinyl.
