DJ Primitive Gettin' It- Song And Surf 2016 Free DL Link in Description

This was my personal favourite set of 2016- have a few more hammer sets coming up, but none that will allow me the freedom to get wild with it than my saturday night set at WolfSheep for Rifflandia 2016(Free DL Link https://hearthis.at/primitivehustle/djprimitivedubselektawolfsheeprifflandia2016-tracklist-in-description/).  The Dubselekta crew had a different theme each night, Turntablists on thursday, Drum and Bass on friday, and on Saturday they had a future booty vibe going.  I played after Arctic, who played a dub techno, techno and uk garage set and before Ganjoid and Ghostwhip from Philthtraxx- a label bent on taking classic detroit ghetto tech sounds to the future.  I wanted to bring a set that combined some cool 95 bpm bass music hybrids with booty breaks, acid breaks and techno- and then finish it off with footwerk, juke, and classic ghetto tech- which is how ive been finishing a number of soundsystem sets in the last couple years.  I was feeling it.  Hope you do too.  Turn it up.  Get loose.

One of Vancouver's most haunted properties was recently sold and will be redeveloped into condos!

The house sits at Cambie Street and King Edward Avenue, right in the vortex of densification, and is haunted! 

Daily Hive points out these legends of terror!

It sits on a First Nations burial ground: Legend has it that the original settlers of these lands don’t want you disturbing their final resting place.

The couple, the baby, and the crib: The new occupants of the house put their baby in its crib one night. They went back to their rooms, and soon after they heard the baby screaming and crying. The couple ran into the nursery to find the baby at the edge of the window sill.
The family that just moved in: A new family that finished their big move into the house went out for dinner. But when they returned, they found all of their luggage and clothes folded and packed neatly, and they took it as an ominous sign warning them to leave.

The family on the lawn: A new family had just moved in and went to sleep in their new home. The next day, they woke up on the lawn with all their boxes and suitcases next to them.

The woman in the window: A passerby on a bike saw a “For Sale” sign on the front lawn. The realtor had just finished an open house, locked up, and was leaving for the day. The passerby asked if the house had been sold, she replied, “no, not yet. Not much interest in this place, if you know what I mean.” Moments later, the passerby saw a lady-like figure passing by the second storey window.

Suroc Developments - HAUNTING VISTAS

City and Colour's Dallas Green took a moment to talk to CFOX about his new love album Guide Me Back Home. Dallas recorded every show of an extensive 28 date Canadian tour. His friend Karl Bareham came along to record every show and then the two of them pulled the best takes to curate 21-song record that represents nights throughout the tour, coast-to-coast.

Guide Me Back Home is out digitally on October 5th on Green's own record label, Still Records. Physical copies on compact disc and vinyl will be November 23rd.

The interview begins with Marcus, Winston and I reflecting on the last time I had chance to see the boys in Squamish, British Columbia for a festival in 2015. They talked about the wild drive up the Sea-to-Sky highway while the Jurassic Park theme rattled around their heads. Then they talked about skinny dipping?

Back on the rails, the band talked about mixing their fourth album, Delta, in New York City and they will be listening to the final mix tonight.

The album's title, Delta, comes from the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet but also the idea of a fertile river delta.

Marcus and Winston talk about some of the sounds we're excited to hear. Making music for an album experience, Winston touring with an Austrian band, HBOB, and bringing some vibes back to Delta, and we wrap it up talking about the idea of the guiding light in the song "Guiding Light."
