When we create our presets, we strive to produce sounds that stand out amid the multitude of generic options. We achieve this by introducing randomness (chaos) into specific parameters or using techniques that extend beyond Serum’s built-in capabilities. For example, we might enhance a patch with superior external effects like high-quality reverb or shimmer, then resample and load it back into Serum’s noise oscillator.

Our aim is for these presets to not only be unique and outstanding but also easy to use effectively within a song.
