We've got a tasty exclusive for you today from Luxxury. His much lauded edit of 'Riders On The Storm' made some waves last year and then it vanished into a haze of legal ambiguity and only strong supporters of the track like Greg Wilson had it. Well we've got our hands on a live remix version from one of his 'Live Remix' shows to give you. His first every European Tour is coming up in September and I look forward to seeing this one in person. The first show of the tour is a show at Festival Number 6 where he's playing the Super Weird Happening Stage. 

Luxxury's version is one of the most interesting edits we've heard for a long time. Sultry as hell with vocoder vocals and a feeling that echoes in your head long after the track has finished. His additions are beautifully produced and this version brings to the fore background melodies from the original and puts them front and centre. Accomplished stuff

Hailing from Playa del Carmen, Mexico - Akbal Music is a label that has proven to be a constant provider of quality underground music with over 86 releases in digital format.  For this episode we are very exited to present you our 1st ever vinyl release. To make an impact with this first wax cut we have selected BOg  from Romania artist that has signed amazing tunes for Akbal Music and also with Crosstown Rebels. This will be his first solo EP for us proving his talent with this very emotional and epic release. To make it even more interesting we give a warm welcome to two juggernauts of the scene to remix the record and do the first appearance for the label. First of is Mr. Eric Volta (No.19-Visionquest) taking us through a mental  and dramatic adventure with his take of "Everything We Lost".  Patlac (LiebeDetail-Soulfooled) on the other hand on his remix of "Medina"  takes a more driving direction but always keeping the feeling and groove of the original  and converting it into a great dance floor bomb. LA-based DJ and producer Lauren Lane presents her latest EP ‘Edge Of Sideways’ released later this month via 20/20 Editions. 

‘Edge of Sideways’ consists of 4 tracks, opening with title track and todays Debut Transmission 'Edge of Sideways', a collaboration with Down2 featuring soft, soulful vocals from dOP’s revered vocalist JAW in Lauren’s signature looping, echoing style. Up next is Forget To Remember, a deep, moody number with a rippling bassline layered with elongated synths and snappy percussive beats. 

Then we have Necessary Evil follows with its haunting, echoing vocals from Cary repeating the title over a dark 4/4 beat. Last up is a remix of Edge of Sideways from Israeli DJ and producer Chaim who brings a percussive, exotic element to the track.

People get very excited when a new Robert Babicz production lands, and when the music sounds like this, its no wonder why...

Roberts first release on his own imprint for a while packs a mighty punch and ticks all of the boxes, so lets get to the music.

'Stimulate' is a beautiful melancholic slab of musical deepness, showing Roberts emotional side, and even packs a saxophone in there, giving the track a sultry feel. Tasty!

Next up is 'Unity Of Kissing' and pulls at the heartstrings with its impassioned heartfelt depth, while remaining a dance floor moment.

'Mindset' is a hypnotic workout with its subtleties bringing its strength. An elegant breakdown follows full of warmth.

The final original track is 'Seeking For The Horizon'. Analog deepness with mysterious layers is the way forward here. Giving the package a cool musical balance and twist.

Jerome Isma-Ae & Alastor remix 'Stimulate' and take us firmly to peak time melodic mayhem, as this punchy number works its magic!

And rounding off this fine release, another remix of 'Stimulate', this time Tvardovsky & Alex Kaspersky take us deep and deadly, with hypnotic overtones and cool growls, while cascading melodics integrate superbly.

Once in a while outstanding songs pop into our demo-inbox on Noir Music and we are blown away by the quality from first listen. Its not an easy task making “songs” work in an underground club enviroment but when they do its usually those songs that create the special moments in dj sets. Tone Depth and Matt Shapiro have created a unique vocal tune with “Halls Of White” that would work really well for the opening hours, afterhours or for a great closing-track moment.
Noir took on the remix task himself and created a primetime monster that sounds a little more aggressive and in your face than the original. Both versions work for each their moment in a dj-set. Hit play and find out which version suits your mood.
