“Acceptance” EP OUT NOW As A FREE DOWNLOAD!

Please read below the message from myself about what’s been happening over the last few months. 

Reflecting on my journey so far, I realised that my motivation for making music was often rooted in seeking approval. I used to send my tracks out, hoping for praise from everyone, dreaming of big DJs spinning my tunes or labels signing me. But honestly? That mentality was holding me back. Of course it is great if you do get that chance to see the work you’ve created be listened by thousands of people, but it should never be the reason as to WHY you make your music. Hence why I’ve named this EP “Acceptance” for the fact that I have accepted that this is the wrong mentality to have had. 

I’ve come to understand that the most important thing is to create for myself. It’s about the joy of making music, not just the applause that comes with it. Not everyone will resonate with what I create, and that’s okay! Rejection is part of this journey, and it’s taught me to learn and grow rather than let it define me. 

After two years in this game, I realise I’m still a newcomer, and that’s perfectly fine. From now on, I’ll be pouring my heart into my music because it brings me happiness. If others enjoy it too, that’s just a welcomed bonus! 💖 

These two tracks that I am releasing today are probably my personal two favourite projects I’ve worked on, and they have been sat for some time locked away in my SoundCloud because I didn’t receive that approval I craved. So this put me in a poor mind frame of that these tracks are rubbish an that I should keep them hidden forever, but no I want to showcase my work for myself not for any other reason. If you aren’t a fan of it that is completely fine I can’t expect every person that listens to them think it’s the best song they’ve ever heard that’s not how this works. 

I’ve learnt now that in this industry you need a lot of self-discipline and growth as an individual and I feel like that’s some good life lessons. I feel like I’ve always been a very humble individual and would never gloat about the things I make or do I don’t personally think that that’s a good way to present yourself. But after reflecting everything, I feel like I had a lot of envy towards other artists which I would keep to myself but now in reality I realise that they grafted their backsides off to get where they are and I respect and applaud that. Someone once told me that if you want something you need to work HARD for it and I’ve definitely now took that onboard.

As for what happens next, I have made a goal for myself as an Artist that from next year I will carry this new mindset on with me and aim to create 5/6 unique CHØ4 tracks purely for the fact that I work better when I set myself a goal and because of the fact that I do enjoy creating music. Anyway, thank you for reading if you did, and thank you for all the support received over this last year it does mean the world and I hope to see you all in this new era of CHØ4.

Here is my set from my latest gig with TWSTD Events in Liverpool supporting Black Traffic.
This is by far my favourite set i've put out to date, I had so much fun and this really shows my sound, giving you all a chance to see what you can expect from me at future gigs.
Forever be grateful to the Liverpool fam, it's crazy as I started my set to the room empty but watching that room fill up to basically full is absolutely mind blowing to me and I appreciate everyone who came and watched even if it was for 5 minutes it means so much to me.

Different type of vibe from myself, progressive acid techno track. Definitely had a massive amount of enjoyment when making this, went with the aim of trying to take the listener on an acid journey while still having that techno twist.
