I remember when I was little, the drives between Paris and Monaco at high speed on the highway, my dad playing all P-Funk albums from the 70s-80s on loop. George Clinton, Parliament, Funkadelic, Bootsy Collins, Fred Wesley & the Horny Horns, Sly & The Family Stone played continuously on the legendary McIntosh MX4000 super autoradio that my dad had paid a fortune for. I remember Erica dancing standing on the back seat of the car and Sarah still a baby strapped in her car seat violently moving her arms to show she too was dancing with us. No one could have guessed that Sarah would play guitar on a P-Funk track nearly 30 years later. Thanks to Ktio from Microcosma who really has the groove in his skin for the arrangements of this track, I asked him to create a more live sound for this track and he did it. It was a great moment of pleasure to write this track with all the friends who are in love with funk music far from 2026 mainstream trends.

 💡A few words to aspiring DJs & music makers:

* Firstly, unless you're Calvin Harris, David Guetta or James Hype or  with similar levels of financial success, get a proper job to pay the bills (mine's animal health)....the DJ and music production is mainly more for the love of music, mental stimulation, fun and enjoyment 😊....it was my DJ work that got me through further academic education 🏫

Now DJ and make some music 🎶🎵.....
• Study the structure.
Pick two genres;  Funk and House, or anything you’re curious about and learn what gives each one its emotional pull and rhythmic feel

• Experiment with stems.
Play with vocals, melodies, drums, synths… let different parts speak to each other. That’s where fresh ideas begin. Don't overdo effects!

• Work n Keep the Flow!!
Mashups and remixes depend on transitions. It’s not just what you play, it’s how you move between tracks and keep the momentum alive ....change genre direction now and again to keep interest levels 

• Trust your instincts.
Some of the best ideas come from breaking the expected rules. If something feels right, lean into it

• Stay open and RECORD EVERYTHING YOU DO !!
Inspiration shows up in unexpected sounds and unplanned moments, capture everything
