Have a look at me and you,
 look at  all the  hurt and turmoil we put eachother through.. feel like I've not felt your hand in mine for a lifetime now. 
The pain was a teacher leading the lesson in class on letting go of what you used to and who you used to know.  .. what iff our loss was avoided what if , we didn't cross paths in the wrong setting, why did we blurred the lines and cut out the eyes of our image, what if we didn't cut out the eyes maybe we'd be able to see what we're missing and to move past the shite been left to stain, that photograph with the same person had the same smile same eyes, such an innocent such a beautiful face a beautiful child, but sadly now... it’s me here and you there separated by hurt. 
Desperate to get by, desperate to reflect on a loop repeating heartaches  again and again.
Why oh why oa-wa-ow, one-off one call away but still the line stays dead. 
What about a picture, place or sound, what triggers an emotional reaction / to completely change your mind? Altering thoughts and vision don’t know what it is, but it’s giving a kick, a push in the right direction.
What if what if ahhhhh ohhhh fucking hell what if 
You said or I said better yet we both decided to take a photo on your phone, a group of just two,  who loved hard, a hellah time ago.

What about a picture, place, or sound  of that lust that didn’t last, but it’s a time frozen in a photograph.
Oh, a-wo-weh… how time’s passed.
What is it that triggers emotional reactions to completely change your mind? How can you decide on a single night of sleep? How did you let us slide?
Altering thoughts and vision, don’t know what it is but it’s giving a kick, a push in the right direction.
Out of your shadow, I’m casting my own. Growing up  is a lot to handle how did this happen?
My reflection in the mirror used to be strange, I did not know what that person looking back was thinkin’.
Now it’s different, now I know: I’ma work my ass off for a future  for myself and the few I'm taken with me .. won't stop not till  we’ve got everything we need, and now it's time to bust time to go. 

This isn’t pretend, this isn’t a game, this isn’t something that involves an outside opinion.
I got my back  nothin’ wrong with that. I beat and blow  in my own slow-mo flow.
I ride the wave cool and calm, I ride the wave till I see land. Paddle my feet / swing my arms butterfly motion in the ocean, paddle fast.
Butterfly motion in the ocean, paddle fast, storm’s passin’ overhead, but it won’t last. I see the light break through the clouds, I whisper to the sky not beggin’, just proud.
‘Cause I made it this far with nothin’ but will, climbed every hill, stood quiet, stood still. But silence don’t mean I ain’t loud in my heart, I been buildin’ from the wreckage, call it street art.
This is my time, my voice, my sound, a thousand setbacks couldn’t hold me down. No map just the stars and a fire inside, I’ma ride that wave till it flips the tide.
No fear, just breath no mask, just me, and every stroke brings me closer to free.
What if pain was the teacher, and loss was the guide? Then every scar’s a compass I wear with pride. Used to stumble, used to hide in the smoke, now I speak truth in rhythm no need to provoke.
My past ain’t a chain, it’s a root I grew from, so I water it with hope and let the light come. I ain’t perfect, never claimed I was, but I’m real with my steps, and I rise because
They said “slow down,” I said “watch me fly.” Even with the weight, I still touch the sky. They see pressure, I see chance  to spin my pain into a victory dance.
