Hipster Hunter is constructed mostly of deconstructed sounds. The focus of the work is motive, form, and cell structure. Aesthetically, Hipster Hunter represents the ongoing battle of the car vs. humans on bicycles, which is a real issue in the city I lived in for five years - Atlanta, Ga. Some bicyclists seemed fearless when riding through heavy traffic. In an abstract manner, Hipster Hunter presents a story of a particular social debacle, and I tried to capture that story. This work is a convergence of narrative and cinematic music characteristics.

The White Elephant

Sci-Fry is a work for fixed media that is heavily influenced by science fiction film scoring. The sonic materials are constantly in a state of development. There are many sci-fi tropes present in the work that push the narrative forward. Cheers.

Smell of Gravity  combines FM synthesis and phase modulation between multiple oscillators. The parameters are randomly exercised for a constant flux in sound materials. The programming was done via MAX/MSP, and the flute recording was performed by Aleksandra Chojnacka Kemble in the Ball State University studios.

Composed in 2014. This work for guitar duo may be described as taking a journey into the mind of a psychopath. There are 'glimpses' of sanity in the form of pseudo-traditional harmonic patterns and motives, but only slightly. Overall, the work explores bi-tonality, in which two 'key's' are used in tandem. From beginning to end, the work aurally describes the dissipation of an individual's sanity.
