"Shipley’s claustrophobic prose sweats and mutters in an 
ecstatic delirium of isolation, the embodied mind locked 
inside its own system, a synthetic cosmos where perception 
and language mutate into a self-writing, self-destructive 
protocol. Siratori’s “void topology” maps that fever as a 
biospiritual, machinic womb where philosophy, eros, and 
parasitology fuse into recursion. Together, their texts pursue 
compulsive analysis from opposing coordinates, one visceral 
and the other structural, until confession and theory form a 
Möbius strip of nausea and reﬂection, a self-metabolising

this piece isn’t about any event in particular. Nothing special happened a year ago today, but that was when I recorded the central chord structure, close to midnight in July of 2016, and let it drift into the past, unfinished, un-listened-to until today. Stumbling across this recording was unsettling because it reminds me how frequently we encounter fantastic things and fail to meet them, to integrate them into our lives. Living in anticipation of the sublime, the unforseen imposition of the other onto mundane life, carries the pretext of our being able to adequately respond; this piece has something to do with the realization that I am not always able to. I'm trying to accept that.

Chad Nathan (born December 31, 2001) is an American independent musician, writer, and photographer from Walterboro, South Carolina, known for his deeply introspective blend of lo-fi soul, ambient soundscapes, and experimental hip-hop. His music weaves minimalist production, layered vocals, and poetic lyricism into intimate soundscapes that have been described as being dreamlike.

With thousands of original songs released across streaming platforms, Chad has become a quiet force in the world of DIY music. Chad crafts tracks that explore grace, solitude, and purpose.
