High school was difficult for me for many reasons and it caused me a great deal of anxiety. Instead of therapy, I escaped from my worries with intoxicating substances leaving behind a trail of pain for my family and friends. But they believed in me when I did not believe in myself and helped me recover. I could not have done it alone and I am so thankful to them. I know many other families who have suffered through the same difficulties and some have also seen recovery while others have suffered tragedy. I hope this song will help others to get through difficult times and to lean on those who love them.

We all know someone who has experienced a situation where they adore another person but that person is always looking elsewhere for someone they think is better.  So I wrote this song to let people know that the grass is not always greener on the other side. Sometimes, we just need to open our eyes to find that what we are looking for is right around the corner.
