After his Sungate debut in 2020, Cape-Town-based Deano presents Curveball 2.0. Knowledge Imprint's founder's new contribution follows perfectly from his previous release as he displays the diversity of music styles that influence him. With a combination of warm, dubbed out, and energetic techno, this package contains three originals and two outstanding remixes - one from Detroit icon Luke Hess and the other from Dutch duo D&S.

Luke Hess' take on Curveball 4 brings recognizable dub techno style by Detroit's legendary producer. Punchy kick drum layered with cosmic pads, and the acid bassline is pierced through with dubby stabs which create an ultimate after-hour dance floor destroyer.
'Curveball 2.0' EP is coming out May 7th via Sungate records.

In ancient Finnish folklore it was known that the forest was a powerful, otherworldly place. When wandering the woods one could sometimes get caught in metsänpeitto, the eerie realm of forest entities. Suddenly all the sounds of the woods would diminish, familiar locations would become unrecognisable and the wanderer would be frozen with confusion and fear. If the wanderer did not know the right spells and rituals to placate the forest entities, he would then be forever lost in metsänpeitto, apart from this world.

We’re not sure if it’s the crisp, hardware driven productions or the impromptu appearances of his elusive facial hair that make Harrison BDP the revered artist he is today (only joking, it's definitely mainly the tunes). What we DO know for certain is that he has compiled a tactful, vinyl only concoction of pure magic for the 12th edition of our mix series. 

Uninhibited studious fervour at the helm of his sonic spaceship has led to the Welshman releasing on labels like Shall Not Fade, Berg Audio, Haŵs, STRCTR and Phonica Records to name but a few. Brimming with luscious basslines and scintillating pads, it’s hard to not be captivated by this playa’s music. His contribution to the Breathecast has truly lifted our sullen spirits and as brief glimmers of blue sky start to cut through the grey gloom, HBDP’s selection helps to alleviate the relentless cravings for the return of sun-splattered ravey days.
