In this episode you can listen to his live set titled 'Hallucination Generation' with tracks inspired by the 60's psychedelic movement believed to be one of the roots of the psychedelic trance scene and music.

This was the first djset I uploaded to Soundcloud and it was to conmemorate my fresh joining to Occulta Records, my first ever label. But it was banned due to copyrights in 2013. I disputed the claim but the set never came back online. So, after all these years, and after listening to it again a few weeks ago, I decided to upload it, as it is full of really favourite tracks of mine from almost 10 years ago. In this new monthly series, you can hear a playlist of the freshest releases, carefully selected by the members of the Hungarian Darth Frog collective, focused on dark-prog, zenonesque, dark minimal, bush-tech, and psy-bass styles. In this month's show, you can enjoy ALGIA's DJ mix. ALGIA is predominantly known for his Dark Techno style. He has performed sets all over his home country of Hungary and has spent the last few years perfecting this genre. He has a second passion, however, for the dark side of psychedelic music, and wouldn't miss an opportunity to play some Dark Prog at a party if the opportunity arises. He has now decided to produce his own style of Dark Prog, influenced by the music he has heard at various parties, using the production techniques he has learned in the past few years. ALGIA produces dark progressive trance with swampy dark soundscapes, deep low basslines, and heavy driving beats. In 2021, he joined Erebos Records and Another Psyde Records. The show focuses on genre-fluid, 4/4-based psychedelic music (zenonesque, dark minimal, psy techno, and the fusion of such elements).

This is the set from a party I played in Padova at the end of February. It was a collaboration between Transition Festival and H Pirates, a very nice organization from the North of Italy that deliver both indoor and outdoor events at a variety of BPMs. This was their last indoor event of the season, and I was invited to play one of my transitional sets, this time from ForestProg to Forestpsy, ending up with some Deep Forest in a progression from 140 to 152. Featuring some tracks from my latest compilation, as well as Intermind, Resina and some other killer music from artists I usually play. I added an intro that I created to give it a piracy edge.

MASSERN  @ The Hive | MoDem Festival 2024

Woo-Dog Recordings presents MINDGROOVE with a live set featuring tracks from his upcoming EP and VA on the label, including tracks from his previous albums and singles played live at Spirit Gust, Magica Festival, and Electric Rainbow Festival. MINDGROOVE is the psychedelic trance project of Indian artist Manthan Gupta. His journey into psytrance began in 2016, drawn in by its hypnotic rhythms and otherworldly sounds. He started producing music in 2020, debuting with the EP Mephisto's Nightmare on Dream Crew Records, followed by releases on compilations from labels like Sonektar Records and Ancient Druids.  Mindgroove blends elements of forest, darkpsy, and other psychedelic subgenres to craft boundary-pushing soundscapes. He also produces under the project Neuroattack, signed to Iono Records, Regroup, 360feature, Geomagnetic, and Hitech Dojo, exploring psychill, progressive, and hitech styles.  Beyond producing, Manthan runs a psytrance academy, sharing DJ and production knowledge, and creates preset and sample packs for darkpsy producers.

The Swamp | Mo:Dem Festival
Styles change and vary but concept and idea stay the same; psychedelic and trippy music for mind and body.

The Swamp stage is nestled on Mo:Dem's island. A hottest and most memorable part of the festival's location is home to Progressive, Techno and other various styles of music. With PSYCHEDELIC as only common denominator and DANCE as the main philosophy behind it.

The idea behind The Swamp was to generate counterbalance to the faster and heavier musical styles presented at The Hive. Creating an 'alternative stage' wasn’t our intention. Rather we imagined The Swamp as the extension of the same psychedelic dance experience. Possibility to select between artists coming from a wide spectrum of psychedelic music gave us an opportunity to succeed in our plan. As Swamp literally and figuratively means diversity and variety, this was set as the main guideline for this stage in the future.
