BIOGRAPHIE

Chalawan présent sur la scène montpelliéraine depuis déjà 12 ans. 
Sa volonté et sa détermination pour la musique hip hop, reggae, funk et D&B l’ont amené à maîtriser le scratch et les pass-pass qu’il intègre à ses différents mix depuis plus de 10 ans.
Perfectionniste et créatif, il a commencé en tant que dj dans plusieurs formations telles que Chalawan (world music, électro, jazz), puis Cosmocooler (funk, électro jazz), Kurt and the family (hip hop instrumental) et actuellement il forme le duo THA FUNK BOOSTER, avec DJ Spoilt Bastard et fait parti du Crew Tha Groovy Basterds.
DJ Chalawan a évolué dans différents clubs généralistes mais il est vite retourné à ses premiers amours. 
Depuis son arrivée à Montpellier, DJ Chalawan écume les scènes mythiques  tel que le Rockstore, l’Antirouille et Victoire 2, mais aussi différentes scènes national comme Bercy (Paris),  La cité des arts de la rue (Marseille) , le Crockmore (Perpignan) , le Minim’s Club (La Rochelle ) le Toï  Toï (Lyon) et en Suisse à Verbier et Cran Montana.

Il s’est produit avec :

ASSASSIN,RAEKWON(Wu-Tang),dj JAMES,dj NAUGHTY J (NTM),dj DEE NASTY,dj LIGONE (champion du monde DMC 2011), JFB (champion DMC), A SKILLZ , KDS,  ANTIPOP CONSORTIUM, AFU RA,BIGA RANX, 69 DB, MAËLSTROM, dj PANIK, THE UNIK, HABSTRAKT, CRYSTAL DISTORTION, MANU LE MALIN, TORGULL…

Il est également animateur radio depuis 10 ans sur les ondes montpelliéraines. Cette année, il anime une chronique sur radio campus dans le Electrodidact Show.
