This new mix showcases the sound I hear in my head when I think about a beautiful hybrid of breakbeat, techno and electro. It's also representative of the kind of Elite Force sets you'll hear from me in the live arena, as I return to the fray in 2023 after a four-year absence!

To craft a mix that had the exact feel I was looking for, I used 24 tracks in some shape or form, pulling many of them apart, rearranging them and adding liberal ly from my own extensive sample library. This set includes 11 Elite Force VIP edits, several acapellas / acidapellas and lashings of breakbeat-techno-electro love.

Even though I also do very much enjoy these moments drowning in nostalgia sometimes letting those emotions and memories from the past come up again in watery eyes, most of the time I’m focussing on the future as music & a career needs to constantly evolve in my opinion … and to stay constantly excited for what I am doing for so many years of course.

That’s why my answer to the ongoing requests for a classics set has been always a big NO as I saw it more as a sign for being stuck - which I am not.

Anjunadeep Explorations is definitely something else … so I gave it a try at Yacht Club this summer returning to NuStyle on that crazy monday night - and it turned out to be a blast into the past.

"Music transcends us all," that's what Oliver & Tom, composed by Andrés Martynowicz and Mauricio Infiesta, is all about.

This duo’s symbiosis originated in their childhood. Growing up together, they shared diverse musical experiences in rock and pop bands, where Andrés excelled in the electric guitar and Mauricio in the acoustic drums. A few years later, both continued their studies but now choosing the piano and synthesizer as their main instruments of production and giving rise to the creation of the electronic music group Oliver & Tom.

With his music electrifying through the dancefloor in a Sasha set or at a gig of his own, Jody Barr is a name that is becoming progressively more familiar as he carves his name into the musical landscape.

Manifesting a style that is described as a melange of fierce house and techno, Jody Barr showcases a variety of genres throughout his many releases, encouraging his passion for expansion, as seen on his inspiringly groovy EP ‘Marlon Brando’ that was added to Sasha’s ‘Last Night on Earth’ label. 

Further influenced by his archive of vibrant melodic techno, acid and break beats, Jody Barr's mix swivels across the spectrum of four-four beats combining ethereal lush soundscapes with rippling acidic textures and techno's pounding kick drum. 

On September 21st, Jody Barr plays the Car Park for Cuttin' Headz at Tobacco Dock.
