This sound sample set was recorded at the Chandler Limited® in-house recording studio and processed using Chandler Limited® RS660 Compressors from the Chandler Limited® Abbey Road Studios / EMI product line.

This is a demo of the Chandler REDD Mic on Tenor Sax. This is a fairly bright tenor sax setup with a metal mouthpiece and bright reed and the Chandler mic handled the brightness like a champ. Far better than other mics I've tried. And it did it without changing the natural sound or sounding velied like some mics do. There is no eq or compression in the sax. These clips are flat and dry (unprocessed) with the exception of the reverb added on the second clip.

This is a work in progress to test the new Chandler REDD EMI Microphone. It's just an acoustic guitar with a vocal and a drum beat. I'll orchestrate another time. There were no effects on the mic when I was tracking. I did this purposely, so the mic could be heard, not plug-ins or compressors. When doing a quick mix for posting, I added a pinch of reverb to the track, that's it. The mic was in cardioid, at the 30db setting, straight into my UAD Apollo, no preamp, the REDD already has one. This was done in the living room of my NYC apartment, which is an untreated room. I can only imagine how great this would sound in a real studio or a better room, yikes.
