'Still Rain' is my expression of the nostalgic sadness and stillness that I feel. It invokes an emotion of regretful retrospection and acceptance.

Melancholy is the latest ambient soundscape release of Chandranshu kumar in which he gently explores the idea of making peace with sadness and moving on.

The state of melancholy here is depicted by a monotonous ambient atmosphere, with a beautiful melody on the piano, and warm subtle strings that drive the context to different states of sadness. It is all put together into a clock-like rhythm by using assertive drums that represent the passage of time.

The track is based on the sounds of falling rain in Noida on an evening in late February of 2020. It was the day I lost someone and the day I lost myself.
Drawing parallels, this track is based on the concept of desires, regrets, and sacrifices.
The intrinsic truth about the nature of 'desires' is that we desire things that we don't have, and the things we desire the most are the ones we never really believe we can have, the things we can never actually have, and in the process to barely exist for yourself and others, we sacrifice.
Like rain in its momentary existence can never imagine stillness and so desires it the most, makes the sacrifice for its very existence and others, we humans sacrifice our desire of love, passions, and dreams sometimes just so we can exist for others.
