U Are In My System (a Discobody systematic boogie)

The synth R&B duo The System was founded in 1982 in N.Y. by vocalist/guitarist Mic Murphy and genious keyboardist David Frank. 
"You Are in My System", which combined hi-tech synths with emotional vocals, was their senond single that ultimately reached iconic status and peaked at #10 in the U.S. R&B charts and #14 on the U.S. Hot Disco/Dance charts in 1982. A year later Robert Palmer covered it and hit #4 on the latter charts.

On this mix I work on The System’s bass-driven recording which I slightly prefer infusing bits of Palmer’s take. Also I include parts of the System’s Spanish version “Tu Estas En Mi Systema” released in 1983. Vocal rearrangement, extra synthlines / hi-hats / percussion & bass complete the picture. Enjoy :)

I create uplifting Norwegian techno music, driven by a passion for sharing my sound with the world. My style is all about expressing raw emotion—nothing is suppressed in my music; instead, it comes alive.

While my music may be complex and unique, its appeal is universal, and understanding it doesn't take a genius.

Born in 1982 near the Arctic Circle, I grew up in an environment defined by silence, distance, and space. That contrast still lives in my music, where intensity and openness exist side by side.

My earliest work began in my late teens and early twenties, rooted in melody and atmosphere rather than fixed dance structures. Those foundations continue to inform my sound, even as my approach has evolved over time.

Rhythm became a central element later in my process, prompting me to return to earlier material and reshape it through repetition, variation, and movement. Tracks are revisited again and again, gradually transforming into more vivid, dynamic forms through continuous refinement.

Confidence in my work wasn’t assumed — it was built through dedication, patience, and the willingness to keep listening. Each iteration strengthens the connection between intention and result.

Under the name Freddy Spin, my work remains a process in motion — guided by emotion, shaped through structure, and driven by a desire to share sound that feels alive.
