With the new Star Wars - The Force Awakens movie releasing, I decided to make a remix. This is not for the faint of heart...strap yourself in and enjoy the ride. 

Chock full of ripping bass lines, crazy changeups, light sabers and more. The main theme songs were created with midi(not audio from the original song), using multiple layers of virtual synthesizers and blending them with natural sounding brass(horns etc), to create a familiar sound with a modern edge.

Star Wars [Chapa DNB Remix] [NEW]

Been keeping this track to myself for a while...figured it was time to share :) It's got that chunky breaks feel, with a nice chill melody. One minute you're ready to GET DOWN, the next minute you're in a dreamland. 

All of the bass and synth parts were made with the MicroKorg analog modeled hardware synth, and further processed in Ableton.

A funky little tune I made relaxing by the beach in Florida. Lots of percussion, horns, funky guitars, and even an African Kora harp. Enjoy!

Bustin Out

BUSTIN OUT - Chapa & Angela Villin

Live eurorack evening jam session. Roads are frozen over and barely made it home from work. Just gave me an excuse to stay warm and get my noodle on. This is a slower (115bpm) track with a trancey kind of vibe and a gorgeous detuned saw arp synth smothered in reverb. All modular, recorded into Ableton in one take.

Patch Notes:

TipTop Audio Circadian Rhythms is the main clock and sequencer for the TipTop Drums - BD909, SD808, 909CP, Hats909 and CYMBL909. Snare reverb is Mutable Instruments Clouds. Clock goes out to Make Noise Tempi which handles some of the clock divisions for sequencing.

Main synth is the E340 from Synthesis Technology running through the Intellijel Polaris filter and out through the Strymon Big Sky - being sequenced by Rene and sequence being shifted by Pressure Points. 

Bass line is the Loquelic Iteritas running through WMD SSF Pole Zero filter, sequenced by Brains and Pressure Points. 

High synth towards end is Rings running through Echophon, being sequenced by a Metropolis.

White Noise from SSF URA being sweeped through a Koma SVF201 filter by a Function. 

Sidechaining by using the inverted output of a Frequency Central System X Envelope through a Linix VCA. Submix 6 and Animodule Mixxor.
