Mr Chibber is factually incorrect when he says that there was never a revolution in a "democratic capitalist" country - I guess he's not familiar with The May Events in France  in 1968? Or the revolutionary upsurge in France in 1934? Or the German Revolutions of 1918 and 1919? Or the Hungarian Revolution of 1919? And I could go on. It sounds like his politics are essentially social democratic and reformist - and that's kind of a problem in an era where reforming capitalism is less and less viable

Bernie didn't came from nowhere... he always had good points and know what he stands for and the movement behind him was accumulating for years and years, he was just gave it some direction

Social democracy basically doesn't exist in the UK. NHS is basically what's left, and it's almost fully privatised.  It's very much going from Germany and France 

Chibber states several factual inaccuracies. And I've found that Jacobin is consistently taking positions that weaken the international socialist movement. Working for unions in a military industrial corporation... ya mmkay. Chibber speaks like a child speaking to children. Which is basically the case since he is probably in his 30's talking to you guys. He's clueless. Won't work. Climate changing, no time left for that shite.
