The 9/11 anaology is reflected in the title "Dawn of Justice."  It's obviously a reference to the Justice League but also carries the obvious meaning that it's the dawn of justice for those enemies of the empire (terrorist and the dictators that support them) that heretofore were outside of the grasp of the empire.  So, obviously, there was no justice for anyone before the rise of the Security State and the war on Terror.  I just feel bad for all of those savages who lived before Sept 9, 2001 who had to survive in the Hobbesian Anarchy which preceded our modern, enlightened times.

This movie was such a cluster fuck.  It obviously is suppose to be a mash-up that relies heavily on The Dark Knight Returns.  But in that book, as I remember it, Superman was suppose to be the proto-fascist. I guess obsequious Snyder couldn't stand that in the Dark Knight Returns, Superman had the good "role" so reversed them for his movie.
