Jeff Farrier played guitar through some effects. This was four tracks recorded live on a Tascam eight track recorder. I played pot lids and a lap steel through some effects. It was played and recorded in the then empty dining room days before Jeff moved out of that house. Jeff attempted to mix it but somehow the tracks got out of phase and sequence. This was the result.

01 no ones home

This was part of a series of recordings. In fact this is the only survivor of that series. They were all recorded on a cheap mp3 player. I failed to make back-ups, before I killed the player.
After a full day of work at a sheet metal shop I worked at, I recorded this on the inside of a 40 inch by 20 foot long piece of galvanized steel pipe. I put the recorder at one end and played at the other end. 
I was playing a homemade light metered noise-maker through effect pedals into a 70's mega-phone. The beeps are cell-phone interference. The percussion at the end is the pipe itself against my hand.

distant wind chimes and a murder of crows, a grey traffic drone. it's a corvus summer watching magpies battle scrub jays over the remnants of camp cuisine. babbling creek bobs green, brown, and clear bottles, the clinking could be a beggars contribution to the wishing well.
