Nikko.Z's Dopamine White opens the new year by welcoming Tuxedo to the label for this debut single. With a career that spans well over a decade, the Polish artist lays claim to an impressive resume, highlighted by releases via John OO Fleming's JOOF Recordings, Balkan Connection, Mango Alley, Movement Recordings and his own Electronic Tree imprint. The Gdansk resident has also gained considerable acclaim for his collaborative project Fluente. Operating in conjunction with fellow countryman Monojoke, the duo has showcased their work on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, Nick Warren's The Soundgarden and Hot Since 82's Knee Deep In Sound. Continuing to pursue solo endeavors as 2022 begins to take shape, Tuxedo adds Dopamine White to his resume with 'Wield', alongside remixes from Andres Moris and Rikken.

Timeless in style, Tuxedo's Original version sets the tone with warm grooves and hazy atmospheres. A storyboard of wavy arps, neatly manicured percussion and buoyant rhythms continue to build the narrative, eventually revealing a series of buzzing effects which initiates the main break. As the centrepiece evolves so does its emotive appeal, with nostalgic chord changes and pixie-like melodies descending over a bed of warm bass tones, before a tasteful build sparks a classy drop and suitably stirring finale.

Making his label debut and providing the first interpretation of 'Wield' is Andres Moris. Based in Argentina, Andres Moris has been touted as one of his country's fastest rising progressive house talents. Although less than two years into his production career, the Cordoba resident has already earned the support of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J, while landing releases via Balkan Connection, Droid9, Movement Recordings, Or Two Strangers and Sound Avenue. Prolific and consistent in equal measure, Andres now makes his Dopamine White debut with a powerful take on 'Wield'. Opting for a bigger, more peak-time approach, the Argentinean artist focuses on a strong rhythmic narrative, with layers of hip-swinging percussion and buoyant tonal themes fueling its infectious drive. Clocking in at two magical minutes, the main break resonates with great strength, juxtaposing shape shifting atmospheres over emotive arps and warm sub bass, onwards to a driving finale.

The release concludes with Rikken also making his label debut and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Wield'. The German artist first emerged in 2018 with releases via Incepto Deep and Superordinate Music, before going on to land projects with Droid9, Future Avenue and Soundteller Records across the next three years. Now adding Dopamine White to his resume, Rikken debuts on the label with a serene rendition of 'Wield'. As the track gets underway balmy beats and a rolling groove make for a perfect balance of warmth and drive. Electric pulses layer the fluid framework as dreamy arps, wispy effects and placid pads steal the air. The narrative continues to evolve across the main break with tranquil toplines gently building over meditative beats, before a quiet calm provides a segue into an effervescent finale. An inspired remix from Rikken which caps an excellent offering from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White to begin the year.

Clubsonica Records opens the new year by welcoming Sex Mind to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Bolivia, Jorge Burgos aka Sex Mind has been delighting electronic music fans with his colourful progressive sound for the better part of a decade. His penchant for crafting nostalgic melodies has carried him to performances at Colors Fest and Electro Color, two of Bolivia's premiere electronic music events. Choosy in his projects, Sex Mind's resume is short and impactful, with time and care put into each release and carrying much anticipation as a result. Now, presenting their first offering of 2022, Clubsonica welcomes Sex Mind to the label with 'Niflheim | Alfheim', alongside remixes from D-Nox and Gai Barone and Simply City.

Much lauded for his emotive sounds, Sex Mind continues to explore that narrative on 'Niflheim'. Wrapped within a fluid rhythmic shell are muscular beats, pulsating basslines and a myriad of tantalizing effects. The Bolivian's storyboarding takes hold as enchanting vocal elements, trance-inspired melodies and glowing overlays shine through a driving percussive forest and key changing slabs of bass. The main break showcases Sex Mind's propensity for genuine musicality, as evocative harmonies continue to emerge, while shapeshifting effects and timely piano stabs sweep across the stereo field, eventually giving way to a thunderous drop and uplifting finale. The companion piece 'Alfheim' continues the progressive tone set by its predecessor and lands with an equally impressive display of craftsmanship. Possessing an emotive undercurrent, Sex Mind works hypnotizing percussion and ghostly vocals over chugging grooves and percolating arps, creating waves of ultrasonic energy across the first act. Its thrilling pulse builds during a dramatic break, where cinematic pads and ethereal vocals converge, perfectly setting up a fluid drop as siren-like wails and retro synth maneuveres unite for a colourful final act.

Providing the lone interpretation of 'Niflheim' are D-Nox and Gai Barone. Hailing from Germany but now based in Argentina, D-Nox has continued to thrill fans with both cutting edge music and enlightening DJ sets. The German artist lays claim to an impressive resume, highlighted by releases on Bedrock Records, Sudbeat Music and his own Sprout imprint. Meanwhile, Italian producer Gai Barone has achieved similar success across his fourteen-year career. A recent partnership with British producer Luke Brancaccio has yielded chart topping releases via Bedrock, Lost and Found, Renaissance and Selador. Warm pulsating basslines and rebounding rhythms set the course for snatches of fragmented vocals and acid-like lines to work their magic leading into the break. A gorgeous contrast from the talented duo and one which is explored further across the captivating interlude, as a pitch bending narrative paves the way for a wonky groove-centric drop and fiery percussive finale.

The release concludes with Simply City providing the lone interpretation of 'Alfheim'. Hailing from Chile but now based in Montreal, Cesar Romero aka Simply City has become a fixture in the city's burgeoning nightlife, earning a spot as one of Stereo's resident DJs and in turn sharing the stage with Bedouin, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Sasha. Also, a highly respected producer, Cesar has showcased his music via Hope Recordings, Mango Alley, Or Two Strangers and Sudbeat. Smooth and rhythmic throughout, the Montreal resident goes deep and groovy for what results in a dramatic nine-minute journey. Percolating synth lines, clever percussive coactions and deconstructed vocals unite across the first act. Void of any primary break, Simply City opts to transfer energy into a celestial second movement, an enthralling shift in mood from the talented veteran, and one which perfectly splits time between otherworldly and emotive.

The marvellous Chilean blooded "Llovizna", produced by the talented Felipe Venegas & Francisco Allendes was originally released in 2009 on Cadenza 40th vinyl release. We are delighted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its publication with a crisp remix by the mighty Luciano and a rework hot off the press by its original writers. Furthermore, there will be another heavyweight remixer,a big surprise and an appreciated comeback: Loco Dice need no introduction, and his remix of this Cadenza classic leaves us speechless. A magnificent bond of the original latin vibes and astonishing peak-time sound manipulation with a relentless pace. The remixes and the rework will be released both on a vinyl E.P. and in digital format.
"Llovizna" is a track with an indissoluble bound with Cadenza's South America roots, a bound perpetually fortified by the origin of many of the artists involved with the label, and by the choice to host amazing massive events in Chile and in the rest of the continent. A funky bass line and full- bodied reverberating jazz drums make out Luciano's bubbly and shiny remix. The cutting edge climactic sequencing of its synthesisers and the seasoned use of percussive breaks and fills exalt the emotional interlude of the folkloric female Latin chant, just before a fully fledged dancefloor oriented restart.
The rework delivered by Felipe and Francisco starts off banging with a resolved bass drum, rattling shakers and fierce hi-hats. Subtle melodies slowly raise from its minimalistic framework revealing in advance all the sweetness of its Andean singing. A majestic rework, which resonates far beyond from a dj tool aftertaste.
