Disillusion

The second edition of the Magnum Opus Series on Khemia Records features a new production from Berlin based modular powerhouse Blush Response alongside an electrifying collaboration between Years Of Denial, who have previously released on Oliver Ho’s Death and Leisure label and Russian techno auteur Alexey Volkov (Jealous God).

On the Solar side Blush Response delivers ‘You Will Cry Out In Grief’ a maelstrom of industrial electronics seethes under a furious barrage of complex rhythms, as evolving symmetries disperse into incandescence.

On the Lunar side Years of Denial meet Alexey Volkov in the first of a new collaborative series - ‘Confess’. Barkosina Hanusova’s voice ricochets against caustic snares as she intones a fetishistic ritual of contorted flesh and altered states.

Together they form the Albedo Edition.

Sounds From NoWhere welcomes aboard the french/german duo Rendered ([aufnahme + wiedergabe]).

Rendered is the relatively new collaboration between Daniel Myer (Haujobb, Architect) & Clément Perez (14anger), both veterans of their respective genres spanning early 90s EBM and darkwave to more recent destructive techno releases.
Fusing industrial/EBM/acid/techno and more, the styles of these two great producers couldn't work better for our channel.

Rubedo, the fourth and final edition of the Magnum Opus series features two striking new remixes of previously released tracks by Schwefelgelb and Blind Delon respectively.

On the solar side Schwefelgelb’s Fokus gets the caustic treatment trom SARIN, replete with off-kilter, catastrophic sonics and annihilating beats.

On the lunar side HIV+ contributes an intense, menacing vocal line to the epic synthcore grind of Blind Delon’s Fuzz.

Midnight Cults, the eagerly awaited sequel to last years Cyanure Dance features two epic new tracks from I Hate Models with vocal contributions from Zanias and a sleek wave remix from DJ Varsovie.

On the solar side the odyssey begins. It Will Last Forever discharges a barrage of devastating, tensile beats over a swell of ethereal synths recalling the sirens - muses of the underworld, luring sailors to their deaths in a flurry of aggravated arpeggios.

On the lunar side Walpurgis Night opens with a pristine, glacial sonic field, punctuated by the ricochet of beaten metal and drenched in the supernal, disembodied voice of Zanias, echoing across vast fissures, pummelling through deep ravines and back out into space.

DJ Varsovie completes the journey with his sensual take on Walpurgis Night, tempering the original with an insistent pitch black funk and somnambulant new wave vocals.

For our eleventh release we are excited to be working with five artists who are all new to the label. 

Rendered open proceedings on side A with a nod to COIL in their psychedelically propulsive workout Analstairface. End Train follows, steering his machines with tactile precision between acerbic acid lines and cavernous synths, crashing through a brutal onslaught of splintered beats that finally open into space. 

Side B starts with the claustrophobic tension of WarinD’s Still Left In There, featuring Huren’s disembodied snarl, tearing at the relentless machine funk. This is followed by the insistent, martial urgency of Distant’s Hydrargyra, scaling vast heights of immaculate sonic architecture to an emotional pinnacle that is finally resolved in the EBM drenched romanticism of Lapse of Reason’s Go Away.
