Mark System Mix April 2011 - Track List And Notes

01. Mark System - Thought Reform (Digital Soundboy Recording Co.)
Named after a 4th century BC Chinese concept, which is all about clearing the mind of impurities. I wrote a warm mesmerizing groove to compliment the title.

02. Digital, Morphy &amp; Raiden - Cheeky (Temah)
Jungle flavoured goodness. The Sesame Street break never ages!

03. Vargo - Get Back To Serenity (Bootleg)
According to Vargo, the original was inspired by a day at one of my favourite chill out spots - Cafe Del Mar. When I acquired this D&amp;B version, I new it had to go on the mix! Cold drinks, good people, serenity.

04. Fracture &amp; Neptune - Ventura (Astrophonica Records)
Ventura was written at a time when I needed some reassurance in D&amp;B. I loved it on first listen. Classic F+N. Great to see it's re-release on their Retrospect LP.

05. Dub Phizix - Out There (Ingredients Records)
Simple, clean D&amp;B with a serious sub bass groove, yet full to capacity with nervous twitchy subtleties. Credit to Ingredients Records for setting this tune loose.

06. Mark System - Love Dub (Digital Soundboy Recording Co.)
Inspired by a mixture of Hardcore, Jungle and D&amp;B over the last 20 years. Club sound systems get punished.

07. Mark System - Magnificent (Dub)
A beast named Magnificent. In the second drop, he's finally let off the leash!

08. Mark System - Hold It (Digital Soundboy Recording Co.)
The title track from my debut EP. Youngman's smooth vocal is a perfect compliment to the dirty groove.

09. Mark System - Just Living (I Feel Good) (Dub)
Adventures in a different tempo! When I wrote this, I imagined a packed dance floor in a big club with massive speakers and amazing lights. Designed to lift spirits en masse.
