Celebrating two decades in business, Technique Recordings have opened up the vaults and handed out the stems of some of their biggest tunes to some of the sickest producers around. We had warnings of what was to come with DC Breaks' remix of Tantrum Desire's 'Airhead' and Glitch City's take on Drumsound & Bassline Smith's 'Skumbag', and cuts from this album have been shelling down raves and festivals all summer.

Now, here's what we've been waiting for.

This album, spanning the full twenty years of Technique history, showcases the real strength and depth of the catalogue. Anthems like Crissy Criss & Youngman's 'Kick Snare', Drumsound & Bassline Smith's 'Crossfire' and Tantrum Desire's 'Reach' all get reconfigured to take heads off all over again. The bossmen have even resurrected their Future Tech moniker to give a 2019 upgrade to TECH 001.

And the array of remixers recruited take us all the way across the spectrum of contemporary drum 'n' bass. The likes of Bladerunner and Marky rub shoulders with AMC and The Prototypes...this album is as musically multi-faceted as it is star-studded. Just take a look down the tracklist to see how much there is to discover, taking in dancefloor, jungle, jump-up and more.

In summary, this is how to celebrate a birthday in style. Some of the biggest tracks from the back catalogue given the remix treatment by some of the biggest artists in the scene. The very definition of a legend, Mampi Swift has been involved in the drum & bass scene since the early 90’s. It was in 1990 that Swift started DJing and found himself behind the counter of Lucky Spin records. With access to the studio next door and an in-house engineer, Swift jumped at the valuable opportunity to start learning how to produce. Releases soon started filtering out with labels like Suburban Base, True Playaz, Trouble On Vinyl & Frontline all taking tracks.
 
1997 saw the launch of Charge Recordings, and a slur of releases that saw him rise meteorically to the top of the DnB tree. With the release of ‘The One’, Swift became a household name and he showed no signs of slowing up, following that up with the likes of ‘Hi Tek’, ‘Touch Of J’, ‘Jaws’ and ‘Trippin’. The label went from strength to strength and has since seen releases from Fresh, Friction, Blame, Sigma, Gridlok and more.
 A pioneer of the double drop style of DJing alongside Andy C, his unmistakeable presence behind the decks has formed the back bone of many a line up from the UK to the States and everywhere in between. A true originator he has influenced and shaped the scene like few others.
 
After a couple of years out, Mampi Swift & Charge Recordings are back in the biggest way. With his latest releases gaining support from the likes of Andy C, MistaJam, Friction, Hype, Crissy Criss & Bailey. Tracks such as 'Gangster', 'Soldiers' & 'The Silence' have been destroying dance floors worldwide! Fast forward to Autumn 2013 and surely a career highlight for Swift as his monstrous remix of Dizzee Rascal's 'I Dont Need A Reason' took his profile to another level. The track was featured heavily on both mainstream & underground radio, and was critically acclaimed to be "The most most disgusting slice of D&B in the last 5 years!" - Zane Lowe.

With an international tour commencing in the first half of the year and a brand new studio to work in as well as exciting solo projects and inspiring collaborations lined up.  Expect big things in the future - There is so much more to come including a brand new roster of incredible Charge artists.
