Ogstan is 21 year old Will Patterson; raised in Bournemouth and living in Brighton. Ogstan is a family name, chosen to stand out, just like his music. 

When he’s not making banging tunes he’s a barber, and we think he’s a cut above the rest. Ogstan’s journey has come full circle already; his first raves were Jungle Cakes nights and now he’s releasing music on the label. When he’s not producing, DJ’ing or giving fresh trims, Ogstan promotes midweek multi-genre night Malware Sound in Brighton. The Horribalistic EP is 4 slabs of immaculately produced jungle, made for the dancefloor.

Title track Horribalistic hits hard, a full on jungle assault with help from Dan Mercer; a friend from electronic music college.

Bonkaz is dirty rolla, complete with 90s synth stabs for a heady rave vibe, Quickrush is a techy, glitchy journey into the digital universe.

Energize completes the EP; a tough rolla cut against a surprisingly light melody. So get the Horribalistic EP on your USB and welcome him to the Jungle Cakes family.

Long-standing member of Incurzion Audio 'DisKrete' steps up alongside Austrian producer Mofes to present a double-sided free release. They’ve been crafting and perfecting the two tracks and many more for a while now, in preparation for their next releases on Incurzion. The work rate from both of these has been none stop with no signs of slowing down.

A. DisKerete – Rascal:

A collection of horns and low frequencies kick followed by rolling vocals slowly leading to explosive bass and distinctive wobbles. DisKrete knows his signature sound and it shows.

AA. Mofes – Fullburst:

The light atmospheric intro filled with plucks and vocals slowly transitions into a burst of melodic hits which juxtaposes from the deep fuzzy sub that follows, sure to shake up any dance.

The very definition of a legend, Mampi Swift has been involved in the drum & bass scene since the early 90’s. It was in 1990 that Swift started DJing and found himself behind the counter of Lucky Spin records. With access to the studio next door and an in-house engineer, Swift jumped at the valuable opportunity to start learning how to produce. Releases soon started filtering out with labels like Suburban Base, True Playaz, Trouble On Vinyl & Frontline all taking tracks.
 
1997 saw the launch of Charge Recordings, and a slur of releases that saw him rise meteorically to the top of the DnB tree. With the release of ‘The One’, Swift became a household name and he showed no signs of slowing up, following that up with the likes of ‘Hi Tek’, ‘Touch Of J’, ‘Jaws’ and ‘Trippin’. The label went from strength to strength and has since seen releases from Fresh, Friction, Blame, Sigma, Gridlok and more.
 A pioneer of the double drop style of DJing alongside Andy C, his unmistakeable presence behind the decks has formed the back bone of many a line up from the UK to the States and everywhere in between. A true originator he has influenced and shaped the scene like few others.
 
After a couple of years out, Mampi Swift & Charge Recordings are back in the biggest way. With his latest releases gaining support from the likes of Andy C, MistaJam, Friction, Hype, Crissy Criss & Bailey. Tracks such as 'Gangster', 'Soldiers' & 'The Silence' have been destroying dance floors worldwide! Fast forward to Autumn 2013 and surely a career highlight for Swift as his monstrous remix of Dizzee Rascal's 'I Dont Need A Reason' took his profile to another level. The track was featured heavily on both mainstream & underground radio, and was critically acclaimed to be "The most most disgusting slice of D&B in the last 5 years!" - Zane Lowe.

With an international tour commencing in the first half of the year and a brand new studio to work in as well as exciting solo projects and inspiring collaborations lined up.  Expect big things in the future - There is so much more to come including a brand new roster of incredible Charge artists.
