In a landscape where concrete giants crumble faster than the sirens can fade, Nervorum transmits a digital distress signal called Shelter. Spanning eight movements, it unspools like a found footage diary of survival: the first thunderclap of drums yanks the listener awake beneath a blanket of dust, and the last sub-bass heartbeat drags a battered body across the threshold of an underground refuge.

Each piece is a freeze-frame in a single, urgent escape. Jagged breakbeats flicker like emergency strobes, fractured synths crackle with the static hum of radioactive fallout, and a coiling bass line exerts a gravitational pull toward safety. What begins as blind panic becomes deliberate momentum, as a weary pulse syncs with the mechanized rhythm of the ruins and transforms into an engine of resistance.

Shelter stands as a sonic chronicle of human tenacity—encoded, preserved, and released by Paperfunk Recordings at a moment when the concept of sanctuary feels more myth than memory. Within its eight digital chapters beats one unbroken message: even after the black rain, music remains a map, marking the single route out of the dark.

“Fade Duster - Ragged Rhythm”
A track that wastes no time in setting the tone. The opening is a massive funk In-fused intro,
throwing us straight into a groove-heavy intro that channels serious Spor vibes, tight, textured, and
dripping with attitude.

Just when you’re vibing on the funk, the track flips
the switch with a rising build that doesn't just tease,
it commands attention from earlobes worldwide.
The drop hits hard, unveiling a chaotic yet controlled
fusion of Neurofunk grit and Jump-Up swagger.
It’s an aggressive, punchy section that feels equally
suited to warehouse floors and festival systems,
pushing the energy levels through the roof.
The breakdown doesn’t let up either. Fade Duster
smartly returns to those funky motifs, rebuilding the
groove with clever edits and rhythmic flair. The
tension rises to a massive crescendo before we’re
flung headfirst into another round of filthy,
syncopated riddims.
A cheeky 4x4 switch adds a moment of surprise, momentarily blurring genre boundaries, before
slamming us back into DnB’s signature double-time flow.
"Ragged Rhythm" is a true crossover beast. Funk, filth, and fierce energy collide in a way that feels
both nostalgic and fresh.

T<I is making some serious waves currently - this one is his appearance on Release's EP on Horizons. 

‘King Stays’ A track that has been supported up and down the, from Calibre to Dj Hype, this is one of the rare drum and bass cross spectrum tracks. Release and T>I draw on both their strengths combining a minimal stripped back approach, whilst creating a bouncy and infectious funk, underpinned with deep subs and flashes of well know breaks. This is a track set to be a landmark in both producers back catalogues.

‘Make me Feel’ A fine balance of musical vibes and a deep underpinning rhythm. Release draws on driving drums and both synthesized and live bass hits to fill the body of the track. Musical samples and well placed FX come together perfectly to give this track a classic light and dark vibe, typical of Release’s style.

‘Giving Up’ Pulling together classic vocals, rave samples and growly bass stabs, all working in harmony with a well know drum break, this track chops and pumps in all the right places, whilst giving away hints of nostalgia. This one is made for the floor.

The very definition of a legend, Mampi Swift has been involved in the drum & bass scene since the early 90’s. It was in 1990 that Swift started DJing and found himself behind the counter of Lucky Spin records. With access to the studio next door and an in-house engineer, Swift jumped at the valuable opportunity to start learning how to produce. Releases soon started filtering out with labels like Suburban Base, True Playaz, Trouble On Vinyl & Frontline all taking tracks.
 
1997 saw the launch of Charge Recordings, and a slur of releases that saw him rise meteorically to the top of the DnB tree. With the release of ‘The One’, Swift became a household name and he showed no signs of slowing up, following that up with the likes of ‘Hi Tek’, ‘Touch Of J’, ‘Jaws’ and ‘Trippin’. The label went from strength to strength and has since seen releases from Fresh, Friction, Blame, Sigma, Gridlok and more.
 A pioneer of the double drop style of DJing alongside Andy C, his unmistakeable presence behind the decks has formed the back bone of many a line up from the UK to the States and everywhere in between. A true originator he has influenced and shaped the scene like few others.
 
After a couple of years out, Mampi Swift & Charge Recordings are back in the biggest way. With his latest releases gaining support from the likes of Andy C, MistaJam, Friction, Hype, Crissy Criss & Bailey. Tracks such as 'Gangster', 'Soldiers' & 'The Silence' have been destroying dance floors worldwide! Fast forward to Autumn 2013 and surely a career highlight for Swift as his monstrous remix of Dizzee Rascal's 'I Dont Need A Reason' took his profile to another level. The track was featured heavily on both mainstream & underground radio, and was critically acclaimed to be "The most most disgusting slice of D&B in the last 5 years!" - Zane Lowe.

With an international tour commencing in the first half of the year and a brand new studio to work in as well as exciting solo projects and inspiring collaborations lined up.  Expect big things in the future - There is so much more to come including a brand new roster of incredible Charge artists.
