While I love writing songs, sometimes I HATE GYAWS - the stress of putting a damn recording together does my tricking head in, and I wish there was someone in GYAWS in Sydney who could help/guide/teach me, so it doesn't have to be so bloody stressful.

Anyway, rant over, this is a bad recording.  I was made the Theme Master, so I invented a theme called:  “The moment you realise your hero is not so great after all.”

The song starts off reasonably well (with my godawful singing, with no voice correction) but I stuff it up about 3/4ths through, when I realised (and didn't care anymore) that I should've created a breathing space on the repeating of the chorus.

Very bad vocals and guitar playing - consider y'self warned 
Broken hearing aid, making up guitar chords randomly - with barely any pre-planning, so trust me this sucks, but it was begging to be put it to music.

The way i hear it in my head and then this recording is semi-close.  I'm not used to playing and singing at the same time, but I think you can get the basic gist of it.

I'm a songwriter/lyricist based on the NSW Central Coast of Australia.  Originally from Invercargill NZ, I've lived in Sydney since 1997 and have been writing songs seriously since 2008.  Never really had the courage to take things to the next level until recently.

The goal, the dream, is to have my songs in movies, commercials, television, video games and whatever new medium media develops into during the next 20 years.  

The brand is called Chariot Baldwin, because I know my musical limitations, and need to the be executive producer for all my projects.  I intend pay for people to sing, play and record my songs for me in the studio.  In return, I own all copyrights etc. If you hear anything you like here, let's talk. 

Depending on the reaction of my debut single Black Bunny; I hope to release another single called The Dishwasher Song.  It's here on Soundcloud now at demo stage.  Leave me feedback if you like it.

I write a variety of styles and am developing this skill.  At this stage anything put on Soundcloud are just some spoofy songs, not exactly up for sale or sellable.  Again, it's me singing, fixed by voice correction software.  I'm deaf, so I KNOW I can't sing, but there's only so much space in the brain to remember how a song goes.

For those of you who "wish" they could do this too, you can.  Get off your arse and work towards it.  The music industry is changing.  Whether for the better or not, I cannot say.  But if you love doing something, you should give it a go.  Life is too short as it is, for regrets.
