It is teasing the percussions festival "We Are The Drum Pt.1" on Friday 30st September at Sophienkirche Wuppertal.

My Beat On The Subway

The first dance of Pina Bausch I have seen was "Sacre du printemps" at the Wuppertal Operahouse 1995. Nine years later I met french dancer Chrystel Guillebeaud. It is always very special, to work with her. A gift. Her dance is one more example that there are no limits of creativity. She is not only rhythm. She is air, earth, body, water. I learn a lot with her. 

When I heard this Stravinsky compositions alone by myself, I was inspired to catch some highlights of this magic music to melt them together in one piece.

At the night of Peter Brötzmann's 77th birthday back in March 2019 we were celebrating the third issue of "AMIDALA - interplanetary music", a party with DJ sets, visual arts and live music at MAUKE.

I prepared this mixtape for him, the most influencial reeds player and revolutionary mind of our city Wuppertal.

I used snippets of "The Last Angel Of History" by John Akomfrah and "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind" by Steven Spielberg.
Music by MATOM, Pharoah Sanders, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Jon Hopkins, Peter Brötzmann and some funky Housemusic backings of my own.
