Real Won , whose government name is Charles Mann, was born May 13th 1986 in Camden, New Jersey. All throughout his childhood his father exposed him to a variety of music; Old School R&B like The Stylistics, Marvin Gaye, The Whispers Rockstars like Elton John , Early 90’s Rap like Notorious B.I.G and Heavy D. All of these different influences made “Real Won” love music from day one!
       As he grew older he became a fan of the M.T.V and B.E.T channels ,which only multiplied his love and appreciation of all types of musical genres. He’s quoted saying “ Good music can’t be denied, it’s a feel”. He says he often goes back in time to listen to what he grew up on and also creations from before he was even a thought. One day you might catch him listening to Field Mob tomorrow it might be No Doubt.
      “Real Won” has a style that’s likened to the catchy rawness of Future and Young Thug mixed with the “new” New York sounds of ASAP Ferg, these styles collided due to him moving to Nashville,Tn at the age of 13. His relocation exposed him to Southern Hip Hop, which he immediately absorbed without hesitation. His brother and new friends fed his appetite for music with the captivating sounds of Fiend,Ludacris, T.I, Lil Wayne and MJG and Eightball Just to name a few.
      When he finally decided to start making his own music he drew inspiration from all of the great music he was fortunate to have heard. With all these different influence it should be exciting to see what’s next.
