A new song i am working on: Talking to a Ghost

I’m just sitting 
here alone 
In this cold empty house 
The place i call home 

Lately, I’ve been talking 
Talking to a ghost 
We don’t say much 
Both a little lost 

The ghost says he misses 
wine and cheese 
Oh, the simple things in life he says 
are not mysteries 

But he’d like another shot 
Another trip around the sun 
He’d prefers summer in July 
A good place to have some fun

Now the ghost has taken form
A warm blooded man 
He gets his trip around the sun 
A little while to kick the can 

So he sets out to the deli 
To quench his thirst and eat 
A little wine and cheese 
Maybe a little meat 

The ghost spends that year living it up
Busy all the time
Enjoying friends and mother nature 
Making songs and singing rhymes 

Now that year is over
It sped fastly by 
He doesn't want to leave yet  
But he has to say goodbye 

So I asked Mr. Ghost
What’s it like up there?  
He said I can’t tell you son, 
or they'd put me straight to hell. 

I can tell you this…
The place i’d rather be
